Is reverting back to using pagers the communications equivalent of releasing new music on cassette only? Could I realistically revert back to a pager and live my white middle class life whilst pretending i'm in the film Friday?

one-way pagers were stupid...but two-way pagers essentially let you email and text. idk whats so bad about that, it'd be cheaper than a phone plan

Bloke I used to work with had an alphanumeric pager he'd use when he was on call (network engineer). We used to wind him up by continually withholding the access code number and sending him the message "LOW BATTERY". He kept taking it down to facilities asking them why the battery wasn't holding it's charge.
