ive managed to pay £255 of the £422 :/

anyone have experience with missing rent? do they normally give you a bit of time if you can explain your problem. i mean ive paid every month on time so far

I think if you tell them you spent your rent money on drugs they just let you off. I'm not a landlord so I can't say for sure.

Tell them the situation (probably leave out the bit about spending it all on coke and hookers in favour of "I had to buy a load of textbooks' or something) and I doubt they'll mind it being a little bit late.

Alternatively, if they're up for the madbantz, tell them the whole story and they'll probably let you live rent free for the rest of the year.

i have no recollection of this but my mate just said that i rang her. my parents wouldnt just give me a £100 so i must of made up some pretty good lie. but i cant remember what it was so im scared to ring her

Thats impressive though, convincing your mum to send you money when you're that spannered.. I couldn't get £10 out of my mum if I was out, she can tell when I've had like 2 pints over the phone lol. Used to try blag I was doing overtime when I was actually in the pub when I was younger, never worked.. not once.

was gonna suggest asking your parents for some money, saying you've been robbed or smth but i'm guessing that won't work now
