jimbeaux: seems a little too high or something, would take an EQ to that, cut some off the top
docrasta: sine wave bass bits sound a little out of place, but i like it a lot
difference: percussion's on point, have to agree with docrasta to chop it up a bit tho
standby: up bass lvls a bit, but sounds great, percussion around 1:00 is fantastic
virusTI: hate the title, tune's ok tho
here's my wip, only spot im unsure about is the acid part at around 1:45
seems kind of out of place but idk what i should sub it with, maybe like a moog lead or something
any suggestions would be great

@virusTI - sounds pretty good - i noticed the kick drum starts to get lost when it really picks up. Your build at 0:48 sounds really cool but i feel like it could be punchier.
@rayman612 - the vocals start to really get repetitive about the 1 min mark - i really like the "kick" sound in the part at 0:45. The acid part does sound a bit out of place - almost made me think you were going to build to a dance/house break. Not sure how you could make it fit though.
@Standby - drums sound really tight! Is that an upright bass i hear- kind of gives it a cool jazzy feel. I like the string instrument that comes in at the end also.
@difference - have to agree with what others have said - sounds like it has alot of potential but it could use some variation/choping up.
@docrasta - i was working backwards and listened to the song in your sig first - i already wrote down the feedback so ill put them both on here: signature song - props for creativity. not really a fan of the sin wave bass - it sounds like it is clipping and a bit out of place. A little to much dissonance for my taste but aside from that one instrument it sounds well done. wip song - same thing with the main bass sound - sounds like you ran it through some multiband compression and turned the WAY up and as a result it is clipping hard. There are alot of cool sounds in there but it is hard to hear
them over the main bass. Like the wobble at around 1:18 its really difficult to hear it and it gets completely drowned out by the bass.
@jimbeaux: love the wobble sound - it has alot of presence in the sub range. Cant tell if the drums are too quiet or if the bass is to loud -I think you could turn it down a bit without losing alot of its punch.
@darkdubz - that drops hard man! I would put the good luck part so that it drops right after he says it - nice mix - lots of bass and the drums still pack a punch
Here is mine
Ive been working on this one for a couple days now - i would love some feed back on it. Im not sure whether or not i should chop up the drops - or add some more variation to them.
wowch so much going on! sounds good but I have no idea what feeling the song is supposed to give me xD
really liked it though! the drops were cool

I actually really like this, it kind of sounds like it should be for a soundtrack to something, gives me that kind of emotional response that something big is going to happen.
Here's my song, it's a remix of requiem for a dream by clint mansell. It's my first song and I would love some feedback , it's a huge WIP, been working on it for the past week and its around 90% finished currently.

@Anteara: Nice introduction to the drums. Really dramatic. Wasn't expecting that drop to be honest. Sounds good, but i think the drums need to punch through a bit more. The levels seem a bit all over the place too. Could do with some really tight eq-ing to give it that crisp edge. Composition and structure-wise i think its good.
@npcompl33t: Sweet percussion. Very natural sounding. The intro is really nice and i enjoyed it, but in relation to the song i think its too long. This is a really impressive track, you must have spent some time on this. You need to decided where you want this song to go though, I feel at the moment its some complex idm piece with a sporadic filthy drop layed over the top.
@rayman612: Love the intro vox. Yehh this is phat, wouldn't mind a 320 of this when you're done would love to play this out a bit I like the acid bit, keep it, personally i'd prefer it playing a darker melody however.
@Virusti: Sub sounds nice. Everything is mixed really nicely. Really well produced, I don't really have much in the way of helpful feedback here. Perhaps just included a few white noise/risers every four bars or so to keep the energy, as I feel at the moment the long sections could do with some breaking up.
The calibre of people's work seems to have risen hugely from when i last posted a WIP! Good to see!
Here's the latest thing i've come up with. Spent a while on this and for some reason I really don't like it. Don't know why, let us know what you guys think anyway. Its sort of tech house-ish

sounds cool. i have to agree with strange_sounds. the drums need bit more punch and perhaps less reverby feeling

Yesterday I made a new one, but it's not actually dub. Very light electrohouse or something else, but I don't know what it is Soundcloud

guitarjon: not sure what it is either, but im likin it, unique sound, only thing i could suggest would be a longer build up on the second drop
anteara: pretty dope, sounds like you could up the volume on the wobble though, a little faint
npcompl33t: really like the intro, conveys a lot of emotion, just think you have a bit too much crammed in after the drop,
VirusTI: really good stuff, i think a bit of flanger or something on the really high backround fx you have would be sick though Soundcloud
just the intro, all before the drop, wanna make a better tune that i ever have so trying to take my time with this one.

RvCKvs- very strange kind of vibes, I would ditch the yoys in the intro at least and save them for the drop, and replaxe it with some kind of eerie sounding synth. That's just my opinion though keep at it
stranger_sounds- very sound production great transitions and I like the vocals, this is definitely out of my usual so my feedback may be useless, but you might just try adding more variations here and there because as groovy as it is a few parts seem pretty repetitive. Solid track all in all
Anteara- exactly what stranger_sounds said needs tons of eq and level work, otherwise it's a good tune being your first. It's a load to dig through but look at the first few pages of the moneyshot thread, I think that is the one.
Here's something I whipped up the last night. It's pretty different around 80bpm I believe but I really like it so far I'm just not sure about the section around 2:50

@Creepfinger a lot of high end. Melody is cool. May be make a sidechain from your kick to your basses? It's would be good. "2.50" Section is intersting. In "chorus part" (from 3.33 to end and from 0.57 to 1.36) keep down reverb.
@RvCKvs thanks for feedback. hi-hat is too loud. I like space and it's good drop

@GuitarJon: Loving the guitar progression in the beginning. Being a guitar player myself i felt happy to see someone adding real instruments in the beginning. A bit of a change in the progression of the synths would be nice too but thats just me.
@RvCKvs: I like the piano part. Eq the hats or get new samples to increase the mids, its kind of like static.
@Creepfinger: Really digging the melodies. Good punch in the drums. Specially the rock feel to it afterward. But add some warmer synths to it. Eq here and there, it'll sound pretty nice.
I actually enjoyed listening to the tracks!
I've been through surgery and stuff, and have been a bit tired. Made this a few hours ago, was thinking if i should continue it or not. Not mixed. I don't know if the melodies or the whole feel is fitting right.

dreadnaught:pretty legit, id say work on the build up into the drop a bit more, sounds a bit out of place, like the glitched out vibe though
creepfinger:LEGIT track, has a nice feel to it, on the little 8 bit sound, id reccomend a bit less distortion and/or cleaning it up on the eq, sounds like its getting drowned out a bit
standyby:cool track, like the percussion, maybe raise the DBs a bit on the bass
new WIP with what you guys gave me for feedback, changed the hat, eqd it, and changed the Yoi with a creepy synth, still needs a lot more eqing though in general Soundcloud

dreadnaught- really like the first 55 that would make a huge old school tune, even after the drop though you didn't fail to impress. mix this and it will be a big tune when finished.
Did a quick update light eqing took the advice about the side chaining and it worked like a charm imo

sounds much better now, it was already a dope tune, when that tracks completely finished, it should be ill.

@Creepfinger I like the lead and the drums come through really nicely. Maybe a bit more build up into the drop and clean up the distorted bass sound, sounds too all over the place. Other than that you've got a really nice track there. Maybe vary some bits up, gets a bit repetitive.
@RvCKvs The drums sound a bit static. Maybe some reverb with help? The lead needs some backing. Maybe a trance saw with some chords. Bit more breakdown before the build up. Put a sick drop on that and you've got yourself a tune. Keep working.
@dreadnaught Like the melody, not a big fan of the padding but that's my opinion. Obviously needs the mixdown but other than that I like the chill vibes. Like how you've mixed a heavy bass with a chilled out vibe. Didn't think that was possible. Only thing I can say now is to mix it, but you already knew that.
My latest fo'shizzle. Kinda Gemini style. Didn't use a sub. Opinions?

@npcompl33t - I'd try and bring the hats through a bit more, crisp them up and add some velocity variations. I'd also work on the outro a bit. Good track though, feels unique, well composed.
@ rayman612 - I like this track, the percussion flows pretty well. I'd work on the pitch-dropped voice though, it feels a bit out of sync with the rest of the track at times. I too am unsure of the acid synth at the breakdown, but I do like how it feels when the track picks back up. Perhaps just mesh it together with the first half of the song a bit so it feels less randomly added and more intentional.
@Standby - I like the percussion a lot, but the track feels empty to me. Some atmospherics or subtle midrange could fill in the frequency gaps, but that's your call. Or perhaps some additional percussion to keep you moving. :>
Track I've been working on slowly over the past few months, has evolved a lot since I first started on it (signature is the first draft) but I'm very pleased with how it's sounding. Needs some atmospherics and some melodic stuff, going for the dark dungeon feel and trying to keep it earthy and organic. Right now it's pretty sparse - which admittedly is how I want it to sound also, but there is little at all asides from bare essentials. Also, I'd ask that you download it to check it out, the quality is dramatically better and I feel like the sub really needs that. Soundcloud

@danimal -- cool tune, like the pace of it.. maybe the "beeeeoooo" sounds are too prominent at the beginning. More bass on the drop perhaps. What programs are you using? Do you build your own synths?
@s3f -- cool atmospherics, takes a while to get going, like the helo sfx, drums could be beefed up a bit with some p.compression.
@fluidmoshun -- odd beginning but i like it, very leftfield, great chops on the vocals, maybe mix it up a bit by filtering them a bit, this would make a cool film score. What software do you use?
My WIP -- experimenting with doing ragga vocals with dub beat. What do you think of the vocal mix? Too prominent?
Do the synths stand up? Arrangement as a whole? Are the drums complex enough? All comments appreciated -- thanks!
