Just wanna stick my head into say that I never went to uni and since leaving school, I've met shit loads of people and had shit loads of fun.

And thats awesome but rare

But there are many benefits to that. And most of the time I don't mind it, met people who have turned into some of my best mates there, most of which I got to work with on a daily basis. 8 hours a day chatting to some of my best mates. Work ain't (or doesn't have to be) just some grim slog-fest, where you punch the clock, are depressed all day and then leave and do nothing There's plenty of time to get turnt.

It's how your manage your time man. If you're the sort of person that's gonna claim they haven't got time to do shit and be a boring fuck just because you've got a job, odds are you weren't gonna be that fun if you didn't have one.

yh i'm not doubting that and my jobs pretty fun most of the time tbh

im just saying i know what i would rather be doing, waking up whenever i want, doing what i want all day with m8s, gettign drunk when i want, staying out till i want and having loads of time to produce

as opposed to sitting in an office chattign to m8s but having to put up with inevitable nobeads then go home and do what you want for a couple hours not getting too pissed or staying up too late as you have to be back in early the next day

It's what you want out of life then ennit. Getting pissed all day, every day sounds pretty boring to me tbh, especially as I've actually seen and know students, and the chance of avoiding nobheads is next to 0% haha

im not saying that either lol just having the option to is better, i guess freedom is the difference

I think that position, that I'm glad you are in, means you can't fully appreciate all the aspects of what that pressure level can actually mean to a person.
Not even talking about weirdos or outcasts.
It's great and lovely to think that everybody is capable or gets the chance with something like that, but maybe not that realistic.

haha had so many that sounded good looping in session view that turned into complete shit when i tried laying it out

The most creative bit is the boring side of having to decide on a direction, which sounds slightly postcard zen - but the reason is, that a lot of the time the real 'gold' comes from having thought of one thing for a long stretch and then fucking it over/turning it slightly on it's own head during one odd session.
Like a bassline that is somehow a16th off from it's initial spot and then you loop it for five minutes.

Nah, I know what you mean, I'm not saying either, just gets a bit grating when people keep making out your life must be shit cos you've got a job. It's honestly down to who you are as a person. I've got "less time"/"less freedom" than most people on here, but from what I've seen people post on here, some people at uni haven't exactly got up to a fat fucking lot, and not trying to brag, but personally, I think I've done a hell of a lot whilst I've been padlocked to my desk.
