This strikes me as being as very odd way to introduce somebody to dubstep, by showing them a load of the more abstract and experimental side of it...
It's like trying to teach somebody what ironing is by showing them videos of people ironing in space and underwater... too trippy for the newcomer.

My addiction to dubstep started from James Blake's songs.. and now I'm real fanof almost all dubstep songs!!

question:

if you wanted to show a "brostepper" some dubstep, what would you show them? i was thinking some tearout tunes like Coki or Sukh Knight but i'm not entirely sure. just curious.

try badman tunes with actual subs, need a sub doe

Depends on what brostep they like. If its the trance festival wank with a million synths at once and laser sounds like krewella etc, it's too late for them. If it's rottun records type generic hardbro show them Vex'd tunes like Angels, Thunder, Lion VIP 3rd Choice etc.

You know what, blow my own trumpet - but I think this mix basically is dubstep. Classics mix I recorded in like 2008, and you know what...I don't think much has changed since then! These tunes will always represent dubstep perfectly to me.

(Mostly?) drum and bass and whenever dubstep is shown it's usually brostep :a:
