I've been lurking on the neuro-hop forums lately, some pretty useful info there. Decided to hear some tracks on some of the user's soundcloud tracks and I immediately knew this was a good find.

If y'all could report anything that's offkey then I can hopefully keep the place clean in Wub's absence. He's a lot more active than I am!

I'm gonna report everything so you're busy for days. You won't even have time to pull your dick in the shower in between putting in conditioner and shaving your legs.

I just copped a Korg Monotron for $20. The girl wanted $15 but I only had a $20, but still a good deal. I have been wanting to explore that MS-20 filter on there. I have one of my Casios going through it and it sounds nice!

Yeah, I'm the one that should have brought the exact amount though. I was running behind and I didn't want to miss this person. I met her in a parking lot through an ad on Craigslist.

As far as the Monotron, I've been having a lot of fun jamming on it. Totally worth $20. If I had paid the $40 - 50 that they are still going for, I'm not so sure, maybe. That filter is pretty nice.

I love her album to death, too bad her live performances have kinda tarnished her rep

I recently realized something. In order to get an acapella of a tune, cant you just get an instrumental, layer it on top of the normal vocal version, then inverse the instrumental? Gonna try it when I get home today, will it work?

Phase inversion has been discussed on here a number of times. In theory it should work, but I've yet to ever hear a real world example of someone getting it spot on.

it works, but you need VERY high quality version of both and end result tends to sound quite 'hollow', can be done for getting small samples to process, wouldn't recommend for an entire acapella

If you have the instrumental and original in lossless format with the stereo imaging intact, it will work flawlessly.
If you have a phase inverted version of the original, the sides are mixed in mono and won't cancel with the original.

This is the issue I have...it's a big if IMO. If the instrumental and original already exist and are readily available in lossless, then the acapella should also exist in the same?
