Really hard to say. I don't even know people anymore. At my advanced age, it's like, I don't have time for anyone's opinion but my own.BudSpencertron wrote:granting that this is my/our point of view as producers/musicians
most people should be able to like what they want (still very debatable)
i am your side here music seems to become politics and the big artists are like the presidents or whatever you choose to voteSunkLo wrote:You'll like what you're told and that's that!

Just a side note, in listening to your toons, and my toons for that matter, we both make a wide variety of stuff, but each of us, in our own way, have, or are beginning to have a consistent sound (which is non-sonic). You know what I'm saying? It is there. The voice is emerging.
I don't know what conditions have brought you to where you are, I feel a lot of tension from you in relation to this issue, this pop issue.
Fuck it dude, they're going to chuck you into a hole in the ground, and mold is going to eat your face away, nothing you ever cared about or did is going to mean anything. Really who cares. Do what you want NOW.
Dude, we are SOCIAL animals. It is what we are, what allowed us to run the show here on this planet, right? What is the biggest punishment in a prison - solitary confinement. Removing the person from the social web. I mean prison itself is a removal from society, but solitary is removal of the person from even the social web of criminals.LTUK wrote:I think everyone wants a bit of recognition, its just about channelling that need into something good.BudSpencertron wrote: so what is blood cum shit the stuff you fear to like or the stuff you make and fear to be not liked?
Maybe you're being more realistic, but fuckit, who cares, just step aside from this mentality, these people.BudSpencertron wrote:i am your side here music seems to become politics and the big artists are like the presidents or whatever you choose to voteSunkLo wrote:You'll like what you're told and that's that!

Hey man, yeah I thought I'd try get involved, finding it difficult to get tunes out at the moment so any motivation is good! Haha, you have damn good ears! I had a go at pitching the acapella before, but with limited sucess. 2 semitones is spot on i thinkdfaultuzr wrote: @LTUK/Demain: ha! had totally forgotten this was your nick on dsf, great to see you here man! nice use of that vocal sample. i agree with the comment on the fact that the snare could hit a bit harder. also, at the risk of sounding anal, seems to me your instrumental and the 2pac accapella are in two different scales, it' not that it's really dissonant, but try to pitch the accapella 2 semitones down, see if it sounds better. btw that heathfield tune is quite something too man
Yeah, that is what he means, but by engaging with it, in the way that he does, he is still being oppressed by this mentality. Like, why not just let it go entirely?LTUK wrote:I think thats what he meant, just bad punctuationnowaysj wrote:Maybe you're being more realistic, but fuckit, who cares, just step aside from this mentality, these people.BudSpencertron wrote:i am your side here music seems to become politics and the big artists are like the presidents or whatever. You choose to voteSunkLo wrote:You'll like what you're told and that's that!

haha, yes, this is sick. Dont know why but a crate digging facebook group seems incongruous to me...BudSpencertron wrote:i dunno if all of you know abotu this one but if not for sample based tunes you find sth 100 percent everytime

Cum, shit and blood? You been reading a lot of Bukowski lately or something? ;pnowaysj wrote:I distrust those people that are like totally focused on one thing. They're like 'professionals'. I think their musical inspiration/love takes a back seat to their 'professionalism'. Maybe, maybe they're just really really into one thing?
Anyway, they're certainly not me! Listening back to my last 10 soundcloud songs... haha.
But I do feel you. Would be nice to really make some linear progress in one direction, but that is external to what music is, you know, that is a human convention, the music is coming from somewhere else. Life/god only cares about the fucked up shit. The cum, the shit, the blood. Those are the important things, but those are the things we stay the farthest from! Stick our fingers in our ears, "nanananana".
Hehe.
