Jesus Christ... I had this when I was 15. It kicked my ass, then applied a little bit of soothing balm, and kicked my ass all over again.
Fucking horrendous.

Luckily I've never had it, a close mate did though and he was fucking KOd for weeks, even hallucinating! Sounds fucking dreadful.

Yeah that does sound like Glandular Fever. Worst long term illness I've ever had, was about 6 months of feeling like I was on a massive comedown with some stupidly severe lymph node pain in my neck, was dosed up on dihydrocodeine and my mum's morphine for months, although it seemed to do little good.

A girl I know got it in her GCSE year...She was off school for about 6 months, sat her exams, but flunked them all...retook them the next year and got 3 A's or something...If it can have that affect, it must be horrendous.

It's literally 6 months (minimum) of the most hardcore exhaustion and fatigue you can imagine, with pretty much no treatment except for painkillers.

Right. I just got home.
I've had a LONG fucking night last night...
They were doing like a billion tests and shit and it "would probably be better if you stay here for the night".
To be honest it was too boring for words. After 10 minutes of a doctor inspecting me they were like "Hmm maybe doctor <insert name> can help you" and then I had to wait an hour for a doc again... I've at least seen like 7 different ones lol. They gave me some painkillers etc and found out that the whole dissorientation thing had to do with the pressure on my ears since that apparently affects your balance.
When I woke up this morning I felt alright, just a strong fever and headache but that's it. Oh and my throat is still fucked up. They were confident that it was probably nothing serious so I could go home again.
Sorry for not posting earlier today lol, thanks for all the R.I.P.'s (the internet gives shits about me. - [x] check
