Two saw oscillators. Set the pitch of one up a fifth (probably). Both sent to a low pass filter. Add an envelope with no attack and a short decay with the decay level all the way down to the cutoff of the low pass filter. Turn the cutoff all the way down, and the modulation level on it to a little less than 3 o'clock.

That's at least a good starting place.

I heard this in the n type basslaced podcast. I want to know how to make that atmospheric type synth that is coming in and out. I don't even know the name of the original track, but have heard in several mixes before. However, I think that this synth that he added over the top of it just really sets it off from the original. I use ableton with the sampler synth, operator, and massive.

here it is:

ya it does sound similar to that, maybe a little higher pitched, and a slower release on the filter to give it that airy feel. Maybe some subtle white noise but I can't seem to get anything close. How did you get that sound? I can use that as something to start messing with. Maybe I'll try sampling it and timestretching it and pitching it up and see what happens.

The high pitched whiney synth that goes on throughout this track.

Any ideas?

Seems like a saw with a low pass filter with an envelope on the cutoff and some resonance to give it that whiny sound. And some automation on the pitch to bring it up or down an octave each measure.

Lol I thought you were a paraplegic dying on the floor and all you had was a laptop. Post it in the help me make this sound thread . And make your own sounds, don't die over other people's sounds, so Down the road you'll see threads like " how the hell does iramsubstep make the sound?"

Bass comes in at :55

To be more specific about what I've tried on this. Two separate instances of massive. One for subs, 2 sines slightly detuned from each other, eq boosted pretty high at about 60 hz. Another instance of massive for mid range, 2 oscillators set to scrapyard, one set to bend + and one set to bend +/- both detuned an octave with some slight detuning from there. I've got an LFO on both wavetables modulating them slowly. I'm running that through some EQ, compression, and distortion. I'm using Trash, but if anyone could give me some decent settings for ohmicide to achieve this sound, that would be cool. Really want to figure this out. I'm having difficulty getting my sub to be as punchy as theirs, I'm also not sure how I should be modulating the sound I have. What are they doing to modulate this? I read their Q&A on DOA which came out a few years prior to this track and back then they said they really like using Nord gear. I'm having a hard time replicating this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
