I really don't know how I feel about Hiero anymore. I used to listen to them all the time in high school but the only song I can listen to now is oakland blackouts.

Not much love for the The Roots here? Personally, they're my favourite hip hop artist of all time. When I compare any of their songs to anything I've heard from Three 6 it's just no comparison. When it comes to new Three 6, I barely even dostinguish them from Gucci Mane, Waka, etc. Guess its just something I'll never understand...

dont really know any of the roots stuff, but a friend of mine jammed a cd of theres on the other day and it was pretty damn good...

i mean its not often that i can actually listen through an entire cd, let alone one thats hiphop.

Give a listen to How I Got Over, it's one of the only albums that I can't NOT listen to all the way through. It's great when you're feeling down, cos it starts off dark and depressing then gradually builds up to get really inspiring and uplifting. There's some very unique emotional tones on the way too. Absolutely brilliant sequencing.

Or if you want some more traditional hip hop Illadelph Halflife, Things Fall Apart or Game Theory are probably the best options. And Rising Down. Fuck me they're consistent...

i really have to be in the mood in order to listen to the roots. they're just not really for casual listening imo

Like I said, yeah new Three 6 sucks, but if you don't think Mystic Stylez is a killer album there's something wrong with you.
