inthecrowd- Nice ideas arrangement wise, th intro for me is a tad sparse, and your percussion sounds a little dull throughout, id do more to brighten the hi end of the percussion and the sub is alittle strong. apart from that its a nice tune with a lot of potential!
jclarkeiv- a lot of your bass sounds seem too far back in the mix and they are a bit muddy, id say just work on that a bit and the tune will be almost there.
arronmog- nice dungeon vibes on this one, not really much i can ctrique on tbh, overall its a really nice tune well done man
heres mine, want some opinions on it before i start sending it off to labels and such

Hi there!
@ Cheeky;
I think the intro could be a lot more interesting.
Sound seems to sit well but your kick seems to be so low it's almost not audible with the sub.
Synth that comes in at 1:55 is a bit high in the mix aswel compared to the rest.
And I don't know what that noise in the back is, that tom? It's really annoying to my ears, especially when the mix gets fuller.
Other than that it has a lot of potential mate.
@InTheCrowd;
Love your percussion work man. Nice little one-shots that work perfect.
Sub isn't too prominent in the mix but definitly feel-able so I think you don't need to worry about it. You could also layer it with a lowpassed saw to give it more body and warmth if that's what you're after.
@ Jcarlkeiv;
The idea of an intro is to let the listener think what will come next so it's quite full for a intro.
I don't really know where to comment on your track. It's quite, uhm, unique. Your reverb-work is pretty good tho.
@ ArrenMog;
Can't really seem to think of anything to comment on. Mixdown seems spot on and production seems finished aswel. Nice track man!
@ Maza1;
The kick has way too much low end in the mix. It's so loud compared to the rest. Can't really hear your sub neither, not sure if I'm getting deaf for low frequencies or not.
@ Take2;
Haha nice vocal snippets man.
Well i'm really not a fan of this new thing that is just 'build a intro, than totally throw it out of the window and write your drop'. It has almost no coherency with the intro which is something I find a real shame considering the intro was well build.
Your sounds are tight tho.
@ UVOZ;
I could really hear the vocals of stenchman's track One on that intro haha.
Quite a unique track mate. I would work on your mixdown tho, lots of sounds that are way too prominent in the mix.
@ Take2;
Love the vocal snippets. The track could use a bit more groove tho. Solid track mate, props!
Alright, my hand is almost numb but I guess it's time for my track now.
I would really appreciate feedback on the vocals and on the mixdown. Girlfriend said she isn't really feeling the vocals so I might chance them or leave them out.
Thanks!

Feedback for others:
@ehbrums1 Intro is really nice, the jazz samples fit really well. I really like the perc, however I'd like to hear the track do a little more. Overall the mix sounds nice and clean, good job.
@Cubicle Simple intro, I like the female vox though - really nice work on them, however I'm not sure about the male vox. I'm also unsure about the high pitched thing that comes in at 1:10, idk something like a smooth piano melody would fit better imo. You might want to try and bring out the kick a little more.
@Cheeky Intro bass is sinister, nice drums too. At the drop, either the bass or kick is too boomy - if I'm honest it got a little irritating to listen too, maybe tone it down slightly. Synths sound good, but get a litle repetitive. I like the breakdown, nice pads.
@InTheCrowd Track is unavailable?
@jclarkeiv Drums need work - mainly in mixing, also try eq'ing out some of the harsh harmonics in your high pitched sounds - they're very piercing. Try and bring all your basses together - a lot of elements are sticking out too much and they swap the drums completely, buss them and bring the levels down. Work on the mix and perhaps curb the reverb a little.
This is my track, not everyones taste, made it for the 48hr comp, any thoughts on the synths & mix?

@mthrfnk Really enjoyable, love the progression. I think a bit more delay/reverb on the melody line would do wonders. The very last reverse cymbal could be brought down just a tab...a little piercing to my ear.
@ehbrums1 Real chill, all the samples fall into place quite well. It's great as it is, but it has potential to become more; I'd just mess around with it some more and see what happens.
@Cubicle The main wobbly chords I think could use a bit more filtering/effects to make it sound less dry; reverb could do the trick, along with some modulation depending on which synth you're using.
So here's mine, I could
really use some feedback and tips on the mixdown and mastering of the whole thing.

@kibb no sub :/ i wish i had more to say but "people have to feel it" and all i hear is screechy wobs. it sounds like you shelved off the low end of everything and then just left the space there.
@mthrfnk sounds good overall, clean mix. it reminds me of that song on youtube that is basically the default song if you don't put in sound? lol too bothered to look it up. excellent work for 48 hours.
@cubicle not to be a dick or anything but this sounds like a fairly novice attempt..drums sound very stock and the progression is kind of generic and uninteresting. too much glide on the wobbles you need to separate them more. the vocals, as your gf stated, are not blending with the track that well. try finding one sample and using it for the entire track. check out melodyne if you haven't and try to explore pitch modulation more to get it flowing better with the track.
my track is my sig, c&c appreciated. really, really trying to get the sub and kick to mesh well with one another (sidechaining compression being a bitch), as well as evening out the levels of the entire track. if you know immediately what needs fixing please contact me somehow outside of this thread, feel like i'm stuck in a bit of a rut. and of course, c&c in general is greatly appreciated!

mthrfnk Really good, especially for a 48hour comp. I think the kick needs a bit more presence and the piano lead feels like it needs something more to it like just a quiet saw wave with the same notes.
Cubicle The very start of the song needs more to it, maybe highpassed drums or something and the whole song generally needs more mids. I like the change up in the drop. I think the vocals might be in the wrong key, they sound a bit out of place. Keep working on this song bro.
Instep This is a really good effort, dude. Really good drop, kinda Gemini-esque. Some of the sounds sound a little too distorted though. I think if you were to make a crazy, heavy drop, make sure the buildup changes the style of the song. Automate everything up an octave or something.
Yeah, technically this is 4 songs so I don't expect feedback on all of them. Merciless critisism please.

mthrfnk - like the style, the intro is great, also the groove is cool and smooth, also like living tragedy said, maybe a little louder n the kick?
take2 - love fu5ion infectious, good flow
budspencertron - really loving waterfall, sounds great!
This is my first attempt at a song, so feel free to be harsh and yell at me about stuff! Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Please give feedback to AT LEAST 3 people before you post your track.. If you don't you'll probably not get feedback yourself. Its just common decency anyways!

So you want feedback from people, yet give none to anyone. Despite the "rules" of this thread it's just common decency

Instep: I don't like the one second of white noise at the beginning. However, I do love how it started after right that. And NO do not change that drop, it's perfect! Just make it a little louder and add a delay perhaps? Mind if I sample this? I don't think you realize how much I love what you have.
mthrfnk: I like it, but I don't like what you chose for your clap/snare. Try for something that is very distinctive and doesn't have the white noise. For this tune, it makes it sound too washed out.
Cubicle: It's nice, vocals aren't bad, BUT I think you need to EQ the wobbles because they sound like they're in the background. Just make them slightly more prominent.
Now, here's a remix I started yesterday. It's my first attempt at remixing something, and I mixed a dutch-house sound with dubstep. The dubstep part is no where near complete, I know.
