Seriously, there's quite a lot of emerging styles of music at the moment, why get caught up on what to call it. future bass, bass, trap, whatever. Music.
Let the journo's and the average Joe's argue about what to call it, you're meant to just enjoy it. As soon as you start defining it, you get new talent emerging from Nottingham who think that naming themselves after Sesame Street characters is proper ghetto like. Fuck labelling. Skrillex is a label, is that what you want?
I couldnt agree more, its just annoying to have to say does anyone know any tunes that use 808s and kind of sounds like trap/hip hop. isnt that why we define things anyways?
and i hate skrillex, touche

I wish Lex Luger wasn't so ultimately tied to southern rap music and lyrics. I would love for him to break-out the rap structure and release some pure instrumental shit (clams casino kinda did it). It would also be cool if he linked up with some other artists in this thread to make some rowdy shit. He'd be able to maintain his current audience and possibly gain a new one on the side too. I'd be a member of both.
But.... whatever.
