Hi, my name is Rik, I'm 18 years old now and I've been into dubstep for about a year and a half I think, instantly fell in love with the sound of dubstep when I went to a party in Rotterdam with Kode9 & The Spaceape and been to a lot of massive parties here in Holland since. I started making some dubstep beats and tunes quite recently, after having made some postrockish stuff before (see signature)

hi i'm from muenster, germany. my friends got a soundsystem, started out as a reggae sound, but recently they play more heavyweight dubs, and one of the DJs is a dubstep addict. he told me about this new dubstyle and finally played some of the tunes at our local dub party, and i was infected immediatly. i used to create jungle, techno, hiphop, dnb, elektropunk tunes, but now i concentrate on makin dubstep-related tunes. it is so much fun. i listen to dubstep.fm all the day if i dont make music myself. u can listen to my tunes here: http://www.myspace.com/drenchedinbass

hey y'all

i'm from luxembourg, where i host a radio show (the main ingredient) on a small independent radio station (radio ara)
i actually study in brussels and that's where i discovered the whole dubstep mouvement thanks to people like dj nanni-k & connecticut (aeclectrick label bxl)

my radio show started off (nearly 10 years ago) being strictly influenced by underground hip hop music, later on it kinda switched to electronic music...

for now, my playlists are a mix of dubstep and minimal:techno tunes

check out my playlists and contact me if you want me to promote your stuff (it would be an honour)

thanks for your support ...
peace

Hey yo,

Well, got a mate who was talking about his "Angry Robots at the end of the earth" music (which was dubstep - duh).

Eventually went to see him a few times. Was way cool.

My house mate interviewed Burial which was way exciting ( http://www.cyclicdefrost.com/blog/?p=1519 ), another few gigs and albums later and I'm pretty obsessed...

What's to say?

Hi, my name is Tony. I'm 21, a carpet fitter.

Used to be into drum and bass raves but my mate Chocky got stabbed up bad at the rave man. He didnt pull through. Started feeling deeper things in my life you know - stopped taking pills and smoked the bud instead. Then I heard some Kode 9 dubstep mix on Radio One and it opened my soul to who I really am. It's made me a better person man.

Scene is just sickness at the moment.

I'm at peace.

Hey Everyone,

My name is Raj and I am a Breaks DJ and Producer from Rochester, New York in the USA.

I run the NuRoc Breaks crew out here, consisting of 5 DJs that always rock a party wherever we go.
We have been fortunate enough to hold many residencies out here and have played with alot of names in Breakbeat and House.

I joined this forum as I am becoming more and more aware of dubstep, and all the good that it has. I feel that I can definately appreciate dubstep, even though alot of people out here haven't caught on to it just yet.
I've caught on to artist like Skream, MRK1, and others.

Love it!

Raj

Hi, my name is Kasia and I'm addicted to bass.

Now to be more serious, I'm a polish girl living in finland (ok, not that much of a girl anymore, 28 this year...) and my approach to dubstep is definitely more from the dub side. That is why all the reggae bits and pieces put into it do it for me.

I found this forum thanks to your awards event in herbal. Thanks again for that. It was a great night.

ps. anyone attending university of dub on friday?
