@Smor3 I do love the new change up to it! Unless you want to go gritty with the main synth, then lower the high pitch sounding synth in the background. However that synth you got that's deep in the background is just a litttle too gritty. Try lightening it down a tiny tiny bit

Vocals are a tiny bit out of place, try a bit of reverb or in your DAW look for the "Vocal EQ" function if you have one. Then modify it from that preset. Loving the ambient jungle sounding noises, animal wise. Reminds me of another track very upbeat.
Other than those things, track is flowing well and coming together.
Thanks for the feedback bro!
@Ficticious: I really like the intro.. Maybe add a snare hit at the drop, into some modulation, and flow the kicks with the modulation, so they kick with it. You could also try and use some pad fx, and weird sounding noises, with the modulation. It's all about layering, and that's what I did with my track.. I have ocean sounds, seagulls, cellos, flutes, 2 layers of different orchestra hits, 2 layers of bells, all compressed with the kick, and then the lead synth with the vocals, compressed as well...
Btw, what did you mean it was to gritty? could you please be more specific ^__^.. Do you mean it's to rough, and could use more character?
Thanks,
- SMOR3S - Kevin -

If you used bit crush or something similar, it's a bit too rough yeah, I feel like it overpowers the entire song. Maybe make it more similar sounding to your high pitched sound, or your high pitched sound less sounding to your low pitched sound. They fit, but one of them is a little much. I suggest choosing one since you seem stuck in which synth you want to use
Any good pad fx's out there? I'm lacking on those. Sylenth1 doesn't have much, nor does predator or sytrus...feeling like I need a vst that's good for pads while I'm waiting for the other stuff.
And okay thank you, I will try that. I did put a crapload of compression on the kick and bass but I think not too much on the rest.

Sylenth 1 has good presets... Go download some soundbanks for it... there is a lot out there...

Sorry I meant doesn't have much Ambient stuff. I'll go look for sound banks so thanks for the tip. It came with 120 good clean synth's (though I like to make my own or screw with theirs) just not too much ambient.
Thanks for the feedback

Omnispehere is good, but it costs money ^__^
There's also Tyrell N6.
Here's the most recent update of that.. Version 2:

Updated WIP! Changed out the lead synth, and added a backing one to the lead.. How does the mix sound now? I changed the vocals a bit, but not to much.. I need to experiment more with them...
Updated WIP:
Soundcloud
I think the vocals are to loud in the track, aye?

@mthrfnk - im really dign the melody. mix sounds good. the second snare with the longer tail could use a bit more hiss i think, maybe a cymbal layered under, or some white noise. good work here.
@dotcurrency - not bad so far. bass seems okay, that pulsing/sidechained synth is drowning your snare. also snare is very dry. good foundation with the melody for sure.
@johnkible - style seems a bit out there. but it's not bad. but not great either.
@smor3s - no feedback for your fellow dubheads? btw, your tune is buttsex tempo. solid mixdown, but still buttsex tempo.
@ficticious - not to into that whole 'bump, bump' 8 bit sounding stuff... but i guess its decent. doesn't really stand out imo.
@jrisreal - damn man, i actually forreal dig the piano work. mistakes an all. nice vibes on this, keep it up man! mthrfnks suggestion is super legit as well
@goal - sounding pretty cool. intro seems alot louder than your drop. synths need some leveling out as well, you have some harsh contrast in your eq levels an such. lots of volume differences, an muddiness.
did another trap beat... not to proud of it, but its still fun. after all, its just music right? did some vocal cuts, its kinda vulgar, but hope you guys enjoy somewhat. lol

I gave feed back to Ficticious, and a page before, I gave feedback :3
@jimbeaux: I really don't listen to that genre of music, it sounds kind of glitch to me.. I like it though.. Those stutter effects are prime too :3
Also what do you recommend I do for a synth.. I understand it's pretty crap, but It's better than the original one I had.. And for tempo, is 120 to low? O_o
*EDIT*, cause Trance is usually 110-150, and House is usually 118-135.. That's what Wiki says at least ^__^.. I don't think it sounds to bad..

Got bored of my other tracks. So I started this one.
Not sure what genre it falls under..it's not really juke or trap..or anything...I just decided to let loose a little and have fun. havent compressed it or anything, literally just started the tune.

Mean for the one I'm currently working on? Cause the one im currently working on has a lot of ambient sounds etc..
Or my previous tune.
btw, lead synth sounds much better . I like it.

Maybe add a nice drop out at 1:53 with the vocals slowly fading out, then bring them back in after a few bars of a ducking synth or something. like a quick build up but matching the tracks tempo etc. if you understand/feel what I'm getting at.

And I don't understand what you mean... 1:53 is still part of the lead bassline.. Could you show me an example?

Here I tried something funny/curiously yet somehow it fits. tell me what you think
Soundcloud
Also sure, one sec. I think I could just use levels by avicii as a simple example

Yup. His intro. around 15-30 seconds.
Use browse parameters>Automation clip with the synth you got. sidechain it to get those big up's too

well I think you get the point anyway.

This isn't the SMOR3S and Ficticious thread.

I would like to do this however... @ 1:09, that little tapestop, vinyl sound, at the end of the synth...

thanks for the feedback guys, gonna work with it later on, for now i'm starting on something new just to clear my head.
feedback
@
ficticious I don't like the build up at all, the swoosh is clouding the rest of the sounds and the kicks feel off rythm to me. the intro melody is nice but the kick pattern is a bit simple, maybe you can switch that up. ( this is for the shimmerclaw track)
second song sounds like a circus song to me. I like the bass sounds, but a lot of the track feels like a load of sounds mixed up but with no meaning/rythm anything to it.
@
jimbeaux don't like the main vocal sample, but like the "you/you"sample. missing some synths in it tho.
new track, just got the intro going, but was wondering what people think of it, i'm going for a minimalistic vibe here. first time using vocal samples, so I wonder what u guys think of that.
things that needs to be done: it needs some more body, still feels empty. loads of effects/eq/etc.
