pkay wrote:I dont think these are two similar of situations. The 'tearout' sound is a rather large departure from traditional dubstep by relatively unknown artists who made a name for themselves off of doing their own thing.. I think it's safe to say that in the long term any artist not worth their weight will fade away fairly quickly, while the cream will rise to the top and remain for the long haul.
Yea I hope your right but im not bashing the tearout sound as a whole just the sillier side of it

Chat Roulette is so fucked. Me and the misses checked it out one night to see what it was all about and we saw a nekked guy with the burger king 'king' mask on pouring wax on his girlfriends tits who had clown makeup on like ronald mc donald lol
so fucking weird

That last South Park was spot on - I went on it and it was a bunch of guys jacking off, never used it again! Definitely need some sort of moderation there!

lol @ the thought of the "tearout artists" "doing their own thing", they just copied coki's sound and made it worse
and that's the last thing im saying in this thread

You've managed to talk yourselves into complete circles in this thread.
Just say you don't like the sound.... you're entitled to your opinion. But the more you try and justify your opinion the more it sounds like you're just hating because you're a hater.

theirs 2 distinct styles of "tearout"
something like wibbela, or metalick for example gets played by all artists, even joe nice drops metalick and he isn't really much into the tearout side of things, (look at most recent interview)
then their is pure noise, dog barking shit. which sends the crowds nuts, but can't really be taken seriously.
as long as the first style gets pushed, i think dubstep is headed in the right direction.

the basis for these type of tunes now is:
have some shitty, corny sample at the start of some american guy speaking about some meaningless shit (with some added reverb)
then wait for the drop
then boom - the chainsaw wobble kicks in and everyone's like HOLY SHIT this is the filthiest tune ever, filthier than a homeless guy covered in shit!!111!!

it's pretty awesome
and if he speaks out against producers he mixes with then fucking well done i say...the scene could do with more of this instead of politics..
imagine the amount of stuff would get slated openly if dmz spoke their minds on here

see where i'm from?
you think maybe i might know for a fact?
yeah but im pretty sure they know that they are doing their thing, and alot of people love it. And that will never change, nothings gonna fuck the scene up as long as DMZ are about, because too many people are into their shit, the kids will get sick of the jump upy stuff eventually and will cultivate back to dubstep's roots. Either way, venting on a forum is lame, and people STILL arguing about it is incredibly lame, listen, produce, mix, attend to the music you want to. Just ignore the other shit.
