Line them up on the same row and trigger the scene on the Master channel?
On the tracks with clips you want to stop at the same time, just make sure there's no clip in that row; triggering the scene will then stop that track.

I went from 8.1.1 to 8.1.4...not even had a slight problem with it so far...seems solid

When I am in Arrangement View...
How do I copy and paste something or duplicate something without taking the automation with it? Is it possible to copy something and not also copy the automation properties associated with it?

Duplicate it with the automation. then add an extra automation column using the little + button and highlight and delete the automation

my Ableton always crashes when im cutting or editing a song so i havent really gotten to play around with djing with it & to use it for producing ill just have the paitience to go through restarting each program after it crashes etc. it looks really complicated to dj with i guess because im a noob to the interface of the dj part of it. does any one have any feed back from performing with it or if some one has a beat pad how long did it take you to get around the learning curve?
thanks

Or even easier: "Lock Envelopes" button on the right of the timeline (the padlock symbol)

I've been searching my manual for this but can't figure it out.
I have a little acoustic bass bit that I want to use in sampler, and it has this really good sustain. But when I play it on the higher notes it gets a lot shorter. I know that this is just part of the relationship between pitch and length, but is there any way around that? I know sometimes you can change the length and pitch independently in things like Audacity but I was wondering if ableton too.
Also, when I want to hi-pass tracks to make more room for the bass, is there a better thing to use than auto-filter? I have just been using it without any envelope settings as I couldn't find just a regular filter.
Thanks.

eq8 and autofilter should do the same
eq8 has a lowpass and highpass setting, but maybe autofilter has a steaper (if thats the word) curve

Hey guys! I've been producing with FL studio for a while and am currently downloading Ableton because I just got into Massive VSTi and got away from Sytrus and the series I'm watching on how to work with Massive is with Ableton. Ableton looks VERY sleek, and my idle of producing uses it as his DAW, what you guys think about the switch from FL to Ableton

Use whatever works best for you.
FYI: Massive works w/ Fruity Loops, or any DAW that can host VSTs or AUs

Yeah I knew that Massive worked with all of it, just Ableton looks alot nicer than FL, and FL really isn't "made" for the type of music I'm doing :/

FL is "made" for any type of music, but I switched from FL to Ableton ages ago and have never looked back. I find Live much more intuitive, esp. the way you can work with audio

Well it really doesn't look user friendly as Ableton does.

I have a project tempo set at 140bpm. I have a dubstep song that I have laid out in arrangement view in one channel but the seg. bpm for this song is 170bpm. I want to attempt to mix this dubstep song with a dnb song that is approx. 176bpm.
The dubstep song has a part in it where it switches to dnb and this is where I was going to attempt to mix the two together.
I seem to be having a lot of problems getting the songs to work together. I am wondering if I should create a new project with the project tempo set at 170bpm, mix the two songs together in this new project. Save the file. Then import the mixed songs into the 140bpm project. And then I could save the songs as being 140bpm after?
Does this make sense?
Giving me alot of headaches trying to wrap my head around this warping.
