On Existentialism:

I think modern existentialist theories need to evolve as our 'lives' continue beyond our living years with the copies of information (pictures, text, sound etc) that we make of and about ourselves.
We no longer can think of ourselves as creatures doing our bit and returning to the source, we are now immortalized in slivers of data, parts of machines hold fragments of our images, expressions and personalities and this is just the trivial detritus left behind. In the future the implications could become far more profound, I'm too tired to even attempt to think about weird shit like that now...

On Evolution:

Our major milestone (and finishing post in the race that all animals on Earth are taking part in) is our thumbs. Our brain is an incredible tool in itself but without the thumb it would be tough to really put it to work. Since then using a combination of both we have created some amazing things to aid our existance, one of the most important ever (imo) being the internet. This is slowly becoming a global 'brain' firing neurons across the world bringing the power of different regions of the same entity to work together. This is the grand evolution we are experiencing right now and you can see it happen because we are the cells deciding what works and what needs tweaking. We are our own nature in the dawn of the bio-mechanical human and we are in control of our own evolution. umm yeh...
IMO obviously

It still feels like morning. o_0 And it's 4 PM here.

I ramble when I'm tired. 2 hours of sleep total this weekend.

THIS!

The future is going to be a strange place. I'm a bit gutted that we'll all have to miss it. C'est la vie...

Prosimians (lemurs) and monkeys have thumbs. The evolution of the human pelvis and the discovery of fire are much bigger to human evolution.

I may elaborate later. I need to get my hair cut. o_o

Yeah, actually, why bother if you know we'll never find out why.

So therefore I'm quoting this one:

Its a real shame we lost about another 4 pages of this thread, there were some really interesting posts from people that I wanted to re-read.

I believe this is the case.

I can only speak about things and experience things from my conciousness and I like to keep things positive and think about other people. Keep positive, encourage people to do well. DON'T PUT PEOPLE DOWN for the sake of a laugh, and I generally have a happy existence.

I beleive in a higher source not in any religious way, just dont think something comes from nothing.
