And so the records straight i get down on some grime and west coast dub hip hop as well. Nothin i like more than a bit of a spliff and a silencer or spyro podcast tho i have to disect some of the dialect mind you.

I don't necessarily agree with his argument, obviously Dubstep as we know it was created in the UK

BUT, he does have a point that it is closely related to hiphop, I mean, I can play a dubstep beat in between some hiphop instrumentals in a cypher, and all the MCs will keep going like nothing happened...

I believe Dubstep beats will eventually become a staple in hiphop; hopefully the origins are recognized

But you can see it happening with Snoop on Eastern Jam, Eve did a song w/ Benga, Ras Kass with 12th Planet...

I always wanted to make an album with all dubstep beats since I first heard dubstep, my problem has been finding enough good producers and the time (show schedules are a bitch for us MCs)
but I think it has to be more MCs working directly with the producers rather than just plucking the latest dub and VIPin it if you will

This dude is a joker though and definitely on some separatist shit just to raise eyebrows and have his name ring bells; I believe dubstep is the first edm that has a chance to become universally popular, the question is is that what we want?

dubstep has crunk inspired elements though don't front. same tempo. lots of claps. similar drum patterns. I don't subscribe to the type of linear reasoning described above but there is a us influence. and vice versa. ideas go back and forth over time and true artists draw inspiration from everything around them. trying to trace the lineage is silly because modern musicians don't follow a straight line or a map.
