imho, worst thing they ever did.
That album and Stankonia are a toss-up for their best in my book.
Idlewild on the other hand.......

I hate it when that happens
Amazing, good, okay, not so good, and then FUCK AWFUL
in that order

This is a good record but Kuti got
a lot more interesting later on.
Have you heard 'Zombie' or 'Shuffering & Smiling' (both 1977 I think). Bloody amazing.
There's a recent Best Of ('Music Is The Weapon') floating around which is well worth a tenner of anyone's money.

Stankonia's great, Love Below/Speakerboxx are great, but it's all about ATLiens.

Roforofo Fight is my favourite album. 'Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am' is probably my all time favourite song.

My dad told me one time before a Fela gig that he went to, he met Fela and his whole entourage in macdonalds including his 12 wives and shook his hand

bah - everyone know the best Maiden album is live after Death!
A few I would take but yeah most have already been said
Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Leftfield - Leftism
Maiden - as above
Stone Roses
Unkle - Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (3cd)
Nas Illmatic
Ledzeppelin II
Gang Star - Hard to Earn
Black Moon - Enta Da Stage
Dave Lee Roth - Eat 'em & smile (pure cock rock to get you up in the morning)
Not albums but I would definitley grab these mixes
Psychonauts Essential Mix from 96
J Rocc mix from Supreme Japan

Army Arrangement is an amazing track.
Fela should have been much bigger in the UK than he was.
I was planning to go and see him at the Phoenix Festival in '97 but he had to cancel due to the illness that killed him. I saw Femi last year though. Great show.
