benga
16bit
mary anne hobbes
eskmo
vaski (mpls native)
excision
distance
plastician
beats antique

and regular shows "Bass Farmin" and a Konkrete Jungle biweekly that is more Dubstep than DnB or Jungle these days
Bass Farmin is far from a regular show considering there's only been 1 and Konkrete Jungle is 3/4 dnb most weeks.

Let's not forget that we also had Joe Nice, SPL, Numbernine6, Nick Argon, Babylon System & Noah D this year as well.

Shows are being sold out in Denver @ big venues. Both coasts be popping off while the smaller cities are creeping up slowly with events.

Seems like Dubstep is here to stay in the USA.

yep, the states have a bunch of healthy little/big scenes... agree with what was said before, we're too spread out to be one big scene. i think thats awesome though, each scene is a bit different aint it

There's a LOT going on here in Texas. Just this weekend I know of at least 3 different shows going down. Rusko is in Dallas tomorrow night, Ant-ten-nae was here last weekend with some others, Ana Sia was with Rusko in Houston a few weeks back. That and a TON of little things all over. Weekly sessions pretty much in every major city. I'm spinning at a campus pub in Denton tomorrow night with 2 other guys. It's growing... very, very fast.

not just the coasts :) outside of home (NYC), we've had rammed shows in SF, LA, Minneapolis, Madison, Chicago, Knoxville TN (!!!!), Seattle, Portland... Denver, Boston, Texas (both Dallas AND Houston), Phoenix are all on deck.

I will say this-- I rarely, if ever, see a dubstep night in the states that is only 140bpm, drop-to-drop mixes. The scenes here are broad, and there's an element of raucous partying that's a goddamn blast across the whole country. Check out suraj's vids of Gritsy down in TX-- people going insane to some seriously deep shit. Pokes' view of everything being regional in the States holds tru, through and through-- and that's a tremendous blessing.

Otherwise-- there is no scene, there is only Zeul

Here are my top 5 reasons to move to California.

#1-THE biggest dubstep scene in the states
#2- Best weather in the country
#3- Weed is Legal
#4- girl to guy ratio is just silly.. 8 to 1
#5- Beaches!

It's the bomb!
p.s.- San Diego is the number 1 tourist destination for microbreweries. 8)

But if you do get stuck in the northeast..
Go to Dubwar NYC and go see MR. NICE!
Sounds good to me! Unfortunately I am stuck in Pittsburgh :u: You guys could at least book me once in a while

Anyway, the US isn't a scene. This country is too spread out. A lot of little scenes here. People seem to be feeling dubstep all over though. I think it has only just begun.
/feeling you on this abz pgh is boring and impossible to see or get a gig escpecially for me since im not 21.

Well it is kinda tough to get a gig if no one knows who you are

Pittsburgh has shit going on, it's just scaled down. Reso, Rusko, N-Type, etc were all good shows. What more can you ask for out of a small city? Cleveland has had a lot of shows too.

I play out 2 or 3 times a month anymore and people would get sick of me probably, it's all good.

any other good suggestions for weeklies/monthlies in L.A.?

the scene here is small but definitely growing. hopefully someday the promoters will get it together enough to get some names out here.

I think a better question would be..
Why the FUCK would I want to live in the middle of the country with nothing to do but go push cows over.
I would rather live in Cali and have a roommate then live in a mansion in the midwest. :t:
