i understand that people with one eye have no depth perception. can our brains arrange stereo sound with only one ear? very curious...

No, they can't... He's never heard what stereo actually entails, although it is easy to conceptualize. It would be like explaining depth perception to a one-eyed person.

I went back and listened to a lot of his tracks and they are indeed kind of mono, but that doesn't make them any less powerful or moving.. some incredibly soulful music.

It was funny how he explained how he does his DJ mixing all in 1 ear

I respect the fact that he still chose to make music and more so that he spoke about it publicly about it.
