I thought you "didn't care for mixes"Cornbreadddd wrote:And those good ass mixes?
to be fair tho fam you haven't been waiting for years like some of us really have, so calm the rass downCornbreadddd wrote:I know I sound like a babbling bitch about this, but when people say "be patient," I understand, but to a point it gets ridiculous, and I feel that point has been reached. Since I got such a fucking fuss in that thread I figured I must be missing out on something, so I checked out a couple mixes (Razor Rektah Fabriclive, Biome Fabriclive, Mala XLR8R, Killawatt Outlook 2012, JazzyJazzy & Valor, and some Prism mixes)jsml wrote:I thought you "didn't care for mixes"Cornbreadddd wrote:And those good ass mixes?
Well, at least you've seen the error of your ways I guess. But mixes just.... are. Do you know what I mean? Every club, the radio, studio mixes... they're just everywhere, it's the medium in which electronic music is broadcasted. As far as suggestions go, listen to rinse fm, check sites like FACT, Crack, XLR8R, Sonic Router and go to clubs and see people mixing? Mixes just are.Cornbreadddd wrote:Since I got such a fucking fuss in that thread I figured I must be missing out on something, so I checked out a couple mixes (Razor Rektah Fabriclive, Biome Fabriclive, Mala XLR8R, Killawatt Outlook 2012, JazzyJazzy & Valor, and some Prism mixes)jsml wrote:I thought you "didn't care for mixes"Cornbreadddd wrote:And those good ass mixes?
I see what the fuss is all about now, hearing all new fresh dubs that haven't been released yet is great as it is, but the way some of these people mix them is so incredible I honestly can't tell if its the same tune or not, it almost soudns like one big tune. Crazy, Biome's mixing skills in his fabric live really impressed me. So yeah, I'm getting into mixes a little now. If you have any other good suggestions let me know.

just think it could be worse: boards of canada fans have been waiting since october 2005 with recurrent news that their favourite band is "in the studio" or that a "double album is coming soon"Cornbreadddd wrote:Posted that awhile ago, nothing of it.dj heny.g facebook wrote:Cant wait to play these new bits out from the my album, ive been scared for a long time but im ready now, tracklist announced 17/11/11 #childhood
Then the guy above who talked to him on twitter, Heny said details in February. So far he hasn't fulfilled his statement but then again we still have a couple days left.
Also saw on his facebook where he said he was going to give away a free remix tune on Christmas, nothing came of that either. (Although I can't even complain about this because it was going to be free to begin with) My only complaint is the fact that he didn't make good on his statements, and never does.
I know I sound like a babbling bitch about this, but when people say "be patient," I understand, but to a point it gets ridiculous, and I feel that point has been reached. So it's been years and so many claims have been made, but none fulfilled, which is really my primary source of frustration. I don't mind waiting years for an album, as long as it's creator doesn't give me false promise after false promise that the details and track list are coming soon, and says that shit for over a year while constantly pushing back the prospective date...
Heny has called 'wolf' far too many times and I hate to complain and moan, but it's just the result of my incredible affinity for his music. I realize that he is an incredibly busy man, but I still feel that at this point, and at this length of time, being busy is no longer a viable excuse. All I can do is hope and pray for details soon, his album launch party was a couple weeks ago, but that doesn't really mean anything. Dying to hear more material, love this man's music more than words can express.
