Australia look considerably shitter than they did in 2006. I give them very little chance of getting out of their group.

the media in england have hyped up our chances WAY TOO MUCH. we obviously ain't gonna win, we'll get to quarters & lose on penalties like every damn tournament. but our group is pretty easy. & one england player always cocks up hilariously in the game that we get knocked out in. we do have a good team & best manager for a while but the squad is better indivudually than as a team. but i think rooney will shine out.

i'm going for a spain vs. brazil final. spain look incredibly strong & brazil always find a way, dunga's made them a solid unit rather than the usual harlem globetrotter-style team. germany as ever will find a way even though they looks major underdogs this time. other semifinalist i'm going for is argentina even though their manager is on crack & messi is undermined in their team. italy won't turn up because their bones are practically dust. i hope france crash & burn cos what happened to ireland was deep. & i guarantee at some point during this tournament cristiano ronaldo will start crying on the pitch.

it would be nice to see an african team reach the semis but sadly without drogba, ivory coast are a lot weaker & the other teams have had poor run-ins. south africa are a poor team, i fear they won't win a game in their group.

i just hope every game has like 8 goals. i hope it doesn't flop.


& fucking lol at north korea's stupidity about their keepers. but its okay they'll get their own back once they nuke fifa's hq.
& at colombia not qualifying, damnit we hardly ever do.

funniest world cup scenario: england lose to america in the group stages. but both teams go through and eventually make it to final where america goes on to win it

Went on an American 'soccer' forum and the had a 150+ page thread dedicated to the game against us, full of bait out dated stereotypical pictures (bad teeth, queen, tea, ugly english women....) as well as references to the war of independence. They claim we don't shut up about 1966 and how we should move on, yet constantly talk up the war like it has any relevance to today, IRONY.

English arrogance when it comes to football is such a myth. Sure, you get the odd idiot who probably doesn't watch football run about shouting 'ITS OUR YEAR, ITS OUR YEAR' draped in a St.George's flag. But for the majority of the population we're probably the most pessimistic nation, I reckon half of them actually want England to fail just so they can moan.

No worries about England and the World Cup. You have the best league with EPL, which happens every year not once every four.
