Anyone who was a bit of a nerd when they were younger will never feel they should grow out of games. Me and my mates all still get together and play PS1 beat em ups and some mega drive games every so often when we can't be arsed to go out anywhere as we did when the games first came out. Only difference is we now all get drunk and stoned while doing so. Is it sad? No. Think how many people will watch big brother when they're at home. Watching some boring stnuc sitting in a house vs a creatively designed game where you can socialise and compete against your mates? much more healthy I think to be honest.

i hate Microsoft more than Sony, so i have a PS3. i don't use it very much, though. Red Dead Redemption is the newest game i've got. i don't care that i'm 33. i'm going to play video games and go to raves until i die. i used to play text adventure games by Infocom on my PC. any earlier memories of Atari or whatever have been lost.

Didn't say anything about it being sad, my point was how it's become a lot more acceptable.

Xbox live pisses in ps3 online mom's mouth.

If you wanna fool around play some video game for like 45 mintues a week, ps3 is capable. If you want real online competition xbox live dominates. A majority of people on ps3 don't even have mic's for christ's sake.

I brought a Ps3 as my games console.... sold it 3 weeks later.
If you want a compact media centre, the Ps3 is an excellent piece of kit, blue rayer player, web browser etc. But i have a media Pc and a Hard driver shuttle runing Server 2008, so i already have a decent media network set up with a networked HD tv. Compared side by side for gaming ability, the graphics and gameplay speed for the xbox is streaks ahead of the Ps3. So my choice is the xbox, it supports and runs the New windows media centre on window 7 which looks awesome, can stream at high speed from your pc and it is Upnp enabled, plays the best games at the best quality and also they have the most ergonomic controller design to date, Sony stuck to what they know with the controller and although the shape is good, they have not elaborated on the design, just made it lighter lol.

The game is incredible, but what makes things so much better is how the Xbox is superior to the PS3.

Had an Xbox 360 it was fantastic - but it broke twice in like 6 months :/

Sold it to buy a Wii - not my type of thing yeah Zelda was good - but everything else pretty much sucked at that time.

Sold it to buy some speakers = WIN!

got a PS2 now so happy with that, I can pick up great games for £1!

There's always that stagnant argument that 360 has better games, but it's void. All the big games are cross platform anyway. Only game I can think of I'd want for the 360 is Gears 3.

I think the XBL interface is much nicer. But not £40 nicer. The PS3 one has the same functionality just not the good looks.
