Then fuck a pig, in your mind?
Make a song, about fucking a pig with your mind!
Need enough weed to do that...

"I'm fucking a pig in my mind,"
"High off the weed grind"
"Don't know where I'm headed"
"Rainbows with tree's embedded"
"Got flying whales high in the sky."
"Fuck I'm hungry, bread on ry"
"Gonna go fuck a pig in my mind,"
"Cause I'm high off the weed grind."

There you go, made that up in 2 minutes out of my head just now. sing it! gogogo

Well, I had the same problem this week. Lack of motivation because I hardly get any exposure on my music since I somehow do not feel like spamming every youtube channel and asking them to promote me, I know I should do this for my own sake.

Anyway, I build up some motivation by listening to my older tunes and reading the positive coments on them, so I see that people actually like my stuff. This is good for your confidence and your motivation, try it.
You should be thinking positive and think that someday you might get the exposure you want and you get booked, that's what I am aiming for atleast.

I hope I helped you.

We have limitless capibilities to make the most interesting music with technology these days but without those fundermental rules of notation and a start, middle and end, music doesn't exist, it just becomes disjointed noise.

If you only care about your sounds then you'll be stuck in 16 bar loop for a long time.

Then again, my efforts could be a horrible disapointment if you just wanna write tearout music...

This is why we start with orchestral stuff first, then move to creating those sounds.

I ALWAYS start with a piano, if I like the piano in I leave it, if I don't I form it into something completely new.

Well, the thing is that production is very rewarding, but in the long (very long) term. I think you (OP) have interest in production. The thing is that sometimes you prefer to do something that is less rewarding, but that rewards you instantly (video games).

I fall on that trap from time to time, giving up Live for Battlefield 3. Usually, listening to good music helps to find the will to go back into your DAW and work, because you're jealous and you would like to do the same thing as the track you just heard.

I know it has nothing to do with music, but it sure made me think about my personal music life.

Just try to put it in perspective! Sure they aren't always inspired, sure they may hate what they have done, but they keep on going and genuinely love what they do!
