if dubstep gets ruined i've still got my small brown bike records...
edit: i don't actually think this will really affect dubstep, other than getting it a bit more publicity, which isn't really a bad thing. if it hasn't had to compromise its sound to get big headline coverage in the first place, why should it be affected now?

I dont read nme im from the US but im hoping dubstep doesnt become the new treand becuase where i live PA i use to like old hardcore metal grind core till it became huge in the area with weekly shows at the two venues i went to being filled with tons of multicolored hair tight jeans and wall huggers then i got into electronic music in genreal and of course all the new thing now is techno which most people here dont know what their talking about and call anything that sounds like sandstorm or any other generic song techno or rave. including dnb and trance hardstyle ect dubstep has luckily been left alone so far.

Who gives a fuck, if you're an NME reader you'll probably jump on the bandwagon going the opposite direction within a month and dubstep will be old hat.
Ain't got a problem with dubstep getting exposure but I do have a problem with scenester stnuc

i dont like the idea because the NME is a misinformed over-rated sometimes wholly-untrue magazine, which will in turn misinform thousands of indie kids into thinking that dubstep is wanky slowed down drum-and-bass only worth listening to when K-holing out of your mind. And them lovin' it.
But I'm not judging until the article comes out
