some of them were okay, 9 was best, but really.. none of them sound anything like a pro hard track, or really anywhere near it. even in 9 past the initial drop it sounded weakkk

i think people need to give more credit to the producers that make this sort of style. it's complex and tedious resampling and running effects and all of that you know? especially while maintaining a really high production value like reso/excision and others do. i certainly have a rough time doing it... its a lot harder than making some of the ambient minimal stuff i hear floating around anyways haha

yeah 9 got my vote as well, I'm really curious who the producers are and....

I don't listen to much brostep but imo 9 is much better than many "pro" tunes I heard.

i planned on putting a couple days into this
if you read the inital thread you'd actually have gotten this
the day before that i planned on doing most of my work on it i had a migraine all day and did 0 work
unlike other people i followed through, submitted a rough idea instead of backing out

unless you participated and followed through get off my nuts

Hahaha I didn't submit anything cause I know I can't make brostep... unlike some people who think they can make bangers in no time I think this competition shows they were all talk. The only track that was a decent bro tune was 9.

You can't really judge a person's ability based on what are mostly all rough drafts given the time scale.
This ain't really about who's the biggest Bro producer on here... it's about having, um, fun?

Well I can't see why an account that previously was inactive has suddenly come out of hiding to repeatedly call deadly out on not proving he can make brostep easily whenever he wants (which tbf he really needs to get round to doing ) unless it was an alias. I genuinely can't remember the name of the dude but I know their display pic lol. Check the other thread and find whoever it was that was constantly going on about how they weren't gonna be involved in the comp and seemed to get vexed that we were all wasting our time when we could be making real music or something like that...

I dunno I could be wrong, just a hunch but I noticed some similarities in posting style. Maybe I'm way off and it *is* deadly, just trying to stir up a shitstorm.

people honing in on one comment i made in one thread and ignoring a shit ton of others


maybe i should edit it to, i know what this stuff entails and if i took the time and focused on it rather than trying to hone in on my own distinct sound that is easily recognizable...
honestly once you have a few distinct patches for your bass and some drum kits setup you can churn out the same basic formulated tunes and have people lap it up when it comes to the brostep stuff
once people get tired of that they innovate something new if they're worth a damn, ffs you have people like excision saying learn your own sound, and datsik saying he's moved onto a different sound

do i still laugh to myself about people who's sole goal in production is to sound like someone else? yes

edit: oh and i joined in on this comp to have a lil fun in between other tunes and projects i'm working on, not to prove anything to anyone
