you mean, he made electro house at slower bpm's before he shifted to electro house at 140ish bpm's? what a surprise. I'm not arguing the fact that he's making people happy with club music.

you don't need a lot of elements to make something sound good, there's actually quite a bit more going on than just 'space and sub', although i can understand that you can't really go that far with something that minimal without it sounding all the same

I think that's what he was pointing out. It was a vague statement but he was exhibiting it as a prime example of how powerful minimalism is, not dissing it.

Yeah that was.... i dunno, not for me. He uses a "drop the bass" sample, but whar is bass?

not to be a dick because i neither like nor dislike his music, but he's had that haircut since about 2005 when he was in a band called From First To Last.

yeah way back in 2005, like before 2009 when he learned about electro house.

My problem isn't really even the tune, it's his "DJing". I was one of the dickheads standing behind him for the beginning of his set because they were letting people on the lineup chill back there due to the horrible crowd layout of this show. He doesn't wear headphones because he's simply triggering prewarped tracks and playing with retriggering the whole time in a hyperactive manner to look like he's actually doing something.

Luckily I was on the inside stage shortly after playing DnB which you can hear in the beginning of the video
