More bitter than a quitter searching litter for a roach, encroach on floating pond scum style, noting trial and error makes better scenes of denial -mile high low pro knows no better, fuck the trendsetters never get ya. filled lungs, lowest rung - milled aimlessly, they got on famously, till tamed by apathies reality, actually, shamed, matter of fact insane, shattered music malady sustain, strained train of thought disjoint - here to dissapoint, miss the point then dissapear as thought clear, near like miss, dismissed piss taker, cheer the hater - imma check ya later.

Sorry, that is how fucking boring these threads and debates are- I start to type a reply that makes some kind of sense, then I just give up. Although I do make pre-proto-texta. Which is depressing because texta (in its non pre-proto form) wont exist for around four-five years i predict. But at least ive named the genre, now i just need someone else to write something in the same style and im all set. Till they make post-texta then im irrelevant i guess.

I just tell people I make 9am music, if they know how to fucking party they will understand. That last sentence is the truth btw, maybe i should call it ninedrop? :4:

i think a lot of people posting off topic throughout this thread may have missed the post script
"(PS: Lets not go into a sub-genre name debate btw, I know these are contentious terms, but they served their purpose--as you instantly knew what sound I was talking about)"

I knew that you production lot would appreciate Radiohead. All my friends think they're boring... :corntard:

To the people who don't like all this debate: 9/10 when something new comes along people don't like it - before they even know what it is. It's an evolutionary response. And to be honest, the constant categorisation of music into a million different pigeon holes is obscene. So if you are gonna start a thread that challenges some set-in-stone values, don't be too upset if people feel as though they have to challenge this.

I see this as a debate. A healthy slice of debate pie. Not life or death, it's music. And don't give me the pretentious old 'music is my life'. We all love music that's why we're here. But for god's sake let's not take all of this too seriously and get on with our lives. Like what you like, discuss it, but don't take it personally if people challenge your views.

no it is not, at least im quite sure so.

I remember back in the days of tapes and cds, finding new styles of music was always exciting and refreshing, even if it was not your personal style. I feel today people are only interested in commercial aspects (this is gonna go no 1) instead of showing profound musical interest and openness. So disliking new and different stuff is only an adequate response in these days of over-saturation through internet consumption.

I think its ok to throw in a track here? The tunes I've listened to in this thread are so much more my thing than anything I hear in the wips thread. Gnome I really like your stuff.

Oh wow just started listening to yours @formatnone, serious stuff.

This always sticks out to me. Undeniable truth, and what the hell are we to do about it? Over-consumption of said surplus with a price approaching zero, or drastically up our standards ...

Ah, didn't notice it was you started this thread, I've been listening to your Gnome remix a lot the last few days.

And thanks, that's a good review.

Thought I'd post a few tracks here too :) Hopefully will reach the kind of people I'm looking for feedback from although it's not 'cracklestep' (classic name) per se, it's just what I'm up to at the moment...

All work in progress, any feedback greatly appreciated....

My tunes pretty much fall into the PostDubstep thing. I used to just call them Dubstep but I don't even know anymore.
