I think theres a certain type of person that will happily buy a record or cd if it gives back to the people that made the music, its call supporting the scene. I consider myself one of those people but If i was 13 and had no concept of that id probably listen to filthydubfoundation or some other poorly named youtube channel.

Excision, Downlink and Datsik own almost all Brostep. Ex has been putting out some generic tunes from other producers as of late which Im not fond of but his tunes are always top notch.

I don't like Circus records style at all, Doctor P is overrated, Flux makes some good tunes but not really my style.

I do like some of Funtcases tracks and Bubble Trouble by Cookie is a dope tune.

Yea "cookie monsta - change your heart" is actually really good. Everything else gives me a migraine

Other than Flux, circus is pretty wank.
Rottun have Datsik & Ajapai. No exicision, he's pretty wank too imo. Like, he makes good sounds and mixes down well, but his music composition skills are sub-par imo.

I didn't like his retreat remix. But I'll admit that his No Holds Barred remix is absolutely incredible and I'll probably never get tired of it.
But other than that, I pretty much dislike all of his stuff. His music isn't musical, so you'd at least expect it to be interesting like one of the others I mentioned. But I don't feel that it is tbh, just your standard Excision wobble with some buttons chucked in a piano roll, not too much thought in it, kinda just to get a tune done..
The other tune I liked him on was Swagga, but you just know Datsik was on the musical tip for that one.

That's just my opinion tbh, not saying nobody else should like him, just why I don't.

I hear you dude. But the thing about Excision is he keeps his bass-line melodies (if you wanna call em that) simple to get that dark heavy feeling and he puts a lot into the drums to get that movement. That's how you can tell if Excision did the arrangement in his collabs, the drums are always on point.

excision by em self throws down hard baselines, so does datsik, so does downlink and the stranger fuck it even apajai is sick as fuck... rottun has a good line up. enuff said
