Really? Who picked that?
I did. Already explained a bit but also because I feel some great movies are only meant to be watched a couple times, and don't necessarily have the best replay value.

going to watch a movie in the cinema is really expensive i had to pay 7 euros to watch pirates of the caribbean witch was not a great movie
and we have to pay 15 euros for the dvd sometimes less when they need to get rid of dvd's then its around 5-6 euros
asking 5-6 euros y for a dvd or asking 3 euros to watch a movie in the cinema is fair

I think you read that the wrong way round. It says you would download music but wouldn't download a film. You seem to be saying that the price is justified if you plan on multiple replays so you're saying you would download films(?)

well the price is justified because as opposed to the handful of people involved in a record, a film often involves thousands of people, and is a real expensive endeavor just to begin with. I wouldn't necessarily play the film over and over again, but it's a full 2 hour plus experience with loads of production elements so I feel it's better for me to just cherry pick what I watch and slap down some cash for it up front. I must have wasted entire weeks of my life watching movies that have done nothing for me.

If I paid for every film I wanted to see... well I couldn't possibly pay for every film I want to see. Maybe if I one day find I have loads of money that will change, but I don't lose any sleep over ripping someone off who is in all likelihood better off than me *shrug*

That's true, but it wouldn't have to be the case if there wasn't greedy (and usually very mediocre) actors demanding ridiculous amounts of money to appear in films. Some of the best films ever cost fuck all to make in comparison.

Word. I mean i'll still snatch a film or two if it's got mainstream buzz, like the social network (which I did end up buying).

What about a film that you could pretty much guarantee would be good? Is it the cost, or the risk that you might not like it?
Well. The actors.. Something with Mel Gibson, or John Travolta ruins the WHOLE film.
And the music. No Justin Bieber or pop music.

You should really have a comma between 'on' and 'Wub', else the sentence takes on a very different meaning, one I'm not entirely happy with.

i dont download music to preview it before buying, but that is mostly because it can all be found on youtube, so watching it there saves me a lot of effort of actively downloading it, opening it, and then removing the pirate should i like it enough to buy a real copy.

at the end of the day piracy isnt going to go away and it is the companies that will need to re-evaluate how they act accordingly
