It's a running internet joke type thing.

This is an inevitable part of success in most aspects of creativity that I totally understand and yet completely despise.GothamHero wrote:That is very true. I completely forgot the efforts in the States from the Canadians and Americans who are giving Dubstep a lot of exposure. Disregard my earlier statement.FuzionDubstep wrote:Wow, thanks a lot! ha haGothamHero wrote:You'll be going high,FuzionDubstep wrote:wow that looks amazing, been 16 I hope gives me some time in advance and when I'm 18 who knows I might be good enough to play big shows although I doubt ill have the fanbase of deadmau5 that's mad haha!
no lie,
you know you'll be

But seriously, Dubstep is still such a controversial genre, and not that popular to begin with. So, unless you start making Progressive or Electro House music, you won't have a fanbase like Deadmau5 (I don't particularly like his fan base to be fair).
I have faith the youth will push the boundaries of Dubstep. Only time will tell. See you when you're 18!
and I have to argue against that, Dubstep is probably just behind Dance, R&B and Pop music in the UK.. sorry to reference UKFdubstep but they have like 600,000 subscribers which is more than all the major record labels in the world such as islandrecords/allaroundtheworld/ministryofsound .. so Dubstep certainly has a huge fanbase but no-one 'rules' dubstep whereas deadmau5 is like 5000 miles in front of all the other house producers haha.. but bassnectar & skrillex etc. headline shows with 40/50k fans which is insane!
The thing about Deadmau5 is his his music isn't necessarily redefining. He's a great producer and his tracks are immense, but I think his fanbase is more due to the fact that he's an even better social DJ. There are much better House producers (like Chris Lake) who aren't nearly as popular as he is, but they don't have that Mau5head niché / gimmick, a record label or his personality. With those great tattoos, his constant touring and his popularity on the Internet -- in the gaming community, YouTube and Facebook -- he picked up a large following. He's just very social , and with the addition of his musical abilities, producing length, live chats / tutorials, and personality, he became so huge. Same with Skrillex.
Bassnectar is just unreal when it comes to sound engineering and groove![]()
He's also incredibly social, if you've ever seen his many interviews and his Facebook album / status'.

This is the most sensible and on the money point chad has ever made.ChadDub wrote:Most people who say they're religious really aren't. They just say that they're a Christian or whatever because they haven't the open mind to think about what they're saying/doing and question it.
Everyone that I've met that says they're a Christian (most people here in Louisiana), are literally the WORST people I have ever met. They're hypocritical, idiotic, selfish, and mean. They even complain about going to church, something that you're supposed to want to do when you're in a religion. But when they think of themselves, they think of a perfect little Christian that is loved by all and is always doing the right thing.
I hate most Athiests too, because even though they say they're against religion, they try to preach they're fucking word to everyone else. Get the fuck off.
That's why I just don't care. I never bring it up, unless I want to get some shock value and mess with some Christian or something for fun. I really do not care.
