Me too, to both clifford and brasco, summer is a roots / dub / dancehall season

I don't know if mentioned but Dadawah should be in everyones collection, as should Blackheart Man from Bunny Wailer, Augustus Pablo for anyone who coppped the recent digi release also created the King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown LP which is absolutely top drawer, a brilliant record

Loving this thread. Here's a few of my own favourites.

Salmonella Dub - For The Love of It [NZ dub]

Fat Freddy's drop - Wandering eye [NZ dub]

Augustus Pablo - Black gunn [Classic]

I liked Rockers way better than The Harder They Come...

I am sort of casually exploring music/music culture in an all encompassing way...

What I mean is - I'm not sweating getting stuff...
but I'm totally into what I'm getting...

Does that make sense?

probably not!
i'm quite sure that c.dodd, tubby and others (RS Digital in ldn) also got plates from the man.

yeah of course tubby had plates, he produced his stuff lol
doubt that rs digital has a pablo plate, don't even think saxon, fatman and all the other uk veteran sounds have one. back in the day there were probably more AP dubs.
I think rodigan is the only one that plays it out (though I think Clive Chin from Randy's has one, read that somewhere), he's also the only one that has a prince buster dub and one of the few with a super cat dub (mighty crown offered like 10000$ but he turned it down). also his tenor saw dubs are quite scarce, not many can please these.

well i remember him (rodigan) saying AP never did a vocal for anyone, then he rung him up out of the blue, saying yea, ill voice you a plate....

obv tubby would of had plates, but not how i meant plate (ie name dropped in special vocal...)

barrington levy is the one, got that on this LP. ''girl I like your style'' is the best tune on it I believe

After Dubstep, Reggae definitely comes a close second in genres I listen to the most. So yeah, definitely into that kind of music.
Also ordered a Rhythm & Sound CD for christmas but unfortunately the store didn't have it in stock anymore (while they said they had) so I've got to wait like 2 weeks...
