Surgeon is indeed The Daddy, saw him playing dj/live here in february. He was absolutely tearing the dancefloor into pieces, played even a couple of odd dubstep tracks! How he blended dubstep into hard banging detroit was truly amazing.

British Murder Boys are playing in Kings Cross next month at Canvas. Which is a pity cause that place is a dive.

aye if you are into that whole birmingham industrial style and beyond check out Female\Grovskopa\Luka Baumann\Some Reeko stuff\Kareem\DJ Boss also. Some of the slovak-eastern european stuff is good too but I much prefer the old Olga & Joseph (What a class name for a label releases from Toky & Dalo.

Anyway. Fuck all that shit. Subhead/Landstrumm/Vogel/Schmidt et all are the daddies.

He used CycLoops, serato, an 808, ableton and a 303/909(cant remember, pretty sure it was a 909)

he had 2 controllers, and 2 decks operating more than one serato setup. It was pretty intense. I'll kick up the set.

been feelin my techno more recently...went to a local night (riff raff) had a wickid time dont really no many tracks or djs but i saw dave the drummer and he was playin sum stompin acid stuff.one track that stands out from his set..."one night in hackney"

While he was visiting here he was playing only turntables and his Mac. First part of the set was with the decks, somewhere in the middle he jumped to live tweakin'. Very plain setup but it was working like magic for the crowd.

I second the Surgeon praise. Its such a pity the British Murder Boys album was cancelled.

some breaks, electro, technoid & atmospheric dnb, some techno (mostly swedish + some minimal/dub), downtempo/nujazz, some (post-)hardcore punk and finnish not-so-mainstream rock.
