Whoever says you can't run an oldskool dubstep night with no brostep is seriously wrong! The place was still busy at 6am!
The vibes were amazing the whole night, completely reminded me why I got into dubstep in the first place. Felt a lot like an old DMZ or even FWD (although 3x as long!). The sets were all varied but all heavy goodness. I was jumping around and skanking away for a good 7 hours! Can't remember the last time I heard "I" dropped.
Set of the night for me was probably TMSV. So deep, so dark, so heavy! Tune selection was perfect, switching the tempo up and down at just the right points.
Swiss was brilliant, some hilarious lines from T_! as well
Only downside to the night was that T_! didn't do a full set on his own, but he was running around a lot as usual sorting stuff out so that's forgivable. Just. Some technicals with the sound every now and then but they got sorted out very quickly. Although I did cringe when someone flicked water over the decks early on. Could've been an early end to the night There were also just a bit too many flashing lights at one point which was a wee bit painful.
they have never put that much additional bass on top of the Junction's existing system before so the reverberations were causing occasional feedback on the kick subs. sound engineer wired in a new DI box quickfast and everything was rumbly and delicious from then on.. Sounded particularly awesome during Kryptic Minds set.. I think one of the CDJ's did perish during TMSV's set, not sure if thats to do with the water flicked but was replaced immediately. Thoroughly fucking enjoyed that...
A victory for the real heads, nuff smiles today

Yeah I figured that was why the engineer was running back and forth at the start. Props to the guy, he seemed like he knew what he was doing!

James, the sound engineer, is a fucking badman. We were in there from about 6pm tweaking the sound to get it right, and he was on point with everything we requested of him throughout the night.
By far the least stressful and most enjoyable event we've done...
Ha sick. Didnt know there were any vids. Crowd was lively. Night was soooooooooo big. Went way to fast. System was weighty as fook. What an honour to play. Large up the SLS gang.
one of the best nights of the year no doubt!
sick to catch tmsv in uk 100 % tmsv tunes set was sick! Everyone's sets were massive
massive respects for that sound system, when they cranked it during KM set was amazing. Some 30+ fairly prim and proper looking bird was just standing near the right stack eyes closed in an orgasmic state haha.
Loads of heads inside, big up to everyone I met.
10000% worth the 3.5 hour round trip + rinsing down the M11 at 6am feeling spaced out with my ears ringing to fuck
Just wanted to say Thanks to all involved and all who reached, in making this such a success and very much restoring my faith in putting on events and the Dubstep scene in general. Massive props to Swiss and Daddy Genius, and of course Thinking.
Vibes were immense, so many people getting down without the need to mosh and get aggy...loads of smiles. Every single Dj smacked it, so many big new tunes, unheard shit, and plenty of classics i can't recall hearing on a big system in time; Truly Dread, Changes, Wrath Soldiers VIP, Sandsnake, I remix to name but a few.
Big up everyone who got a free T shirt or vinyl...
TMSV sneaked set of the night for me... Brilliant stuff
info on next event soon, we're plotting already.........
