korn sucked balls after their 3rd album though
2nd album. the 3rd had fred durst on it. though i wouldn't say those were any good either, specially considering all the exagerated bullshit teenage drama and the lame ass parts where davis starts crying coz he got molested as a child.
yeah but i was about 13-14 at the time so it seemed cool

Korn never had a place in the metal community and doesn't have a place in the dubstep community. It's like that annoying kid which thinks he's cool and friends with everyone but nobody likes him.

they were kinda brostep before there was brostep

if you concede that then you're just defining "what is dubstep"

We even have this band that's merged brostep with modern metalcore. I sorta like it, only checked them out about two minutes ago.

Slightly off topic but for a while now bassists in various genres have been ramping up the attack FX on their pedal and using it for breakdowns:

from the 2009 bring me the horizon remix album.
a bmth tune was also remixed by borgore (who is now signed to sumerian records, a metalcore label).
asking alexandria just released a brostep remix album featuring borgore, bare, big chocolate, noah d, tomba, document one etc. also on sumerian records.
even suicide silence, whitechapel and as i lay dying commissioned big chocolate for remixes...
i think tek one even toured with metalcore bands

This is whats annoying, the pure ignorance of the yanks (not all). Majority of UK fans will say like it comes from garage or whatever but has an influence from reggae dub which is from Jamaica.. like we'll appreciate what other places have done in terms of how the sound came around. Yanks just fucking assume they invented everything. Thats why the majority of their country are backwards, self involved, uneducated morons who have no intention of learning or doing any form of research that extends wider than the US.

the irony being of course that UK garage stemmed from the US garage house/NYC Garage scene and is insanely influenced by US R&B and Hip Hop Artists/Producers.

nice one dickhead

Why does every discussion about brostep sooner or later devolve into sweeping generalisations about America? It's starting to get ridiculous..

because idiots can't get past the idea that there are two entirely different scenes/sounds within the Dubstep genre.

"According to Katsis, Korn had about 4.5 million Facebook fans before the track posted: It now has 7.3 million, and the number keeps growing. "

Looks like some people do! :(
