I would take the time to read your arguments if you present them to me, as to why Kill The Noise is a good producer. I am not convinced. Do you mean technical ability? Perhaps he does. But what about artistic ability?
To summarise, I personally don't understand why or how he stands out, but I would like for you to share your insights.

so you don't like skrillex... but you like this guy?
how do you not know some of the tunes he played were just his tunes, unreleased ones?
b/c they sound exactly the same

Yes, that's right we only listen to obscure Digital Mystikz dubs from 04 on here. Oh wait, you're completely misinformed.
Although I do love me some Gotham/Chalice/Adultz Only

I like me some Distance, Phaeleh, and KTN. Stupidddddd KTN has been around years, not up and coming. Why's this matter? KTN was probably drunk or something. Also, KTN has great artistic abilities showcased in his songs. Kill the Noise 2007 was great, Ewun is great, so is the new KTN.
BOOM THIS TOTALLY MATTERS.

That Koan Sound track on page 2 was massive, just made me a new fan
As for the whole 'we all hate on mainstream here', that's simply not true. I fucking love Katy B's album. There's threads in here full of people talking about how much they love Drake. A lot of the artists we champion on here are far more popular than Kill The Noise.
When will people learn to look past mainstream/underground and recognize that it is possible to dislike music for reasons not based on principle? Its just about taste, and good music or bad music.
As for the original question, that's what most electronic producers do when they DJ. Simple as that. I saw The Others live in Melbourne a few months ago and I didn't hear a single one of his own tracks, he played generic brostep crap all night to appease the crowd of hipsters that showed up. Only thing that made the night worth going to was when he dropped Xmas Day Swagger by Skream and Weh Dem A Do by Coki. Disappointing, but not unexpected.
Like other people said, I don't understand how you could be disappointed in hearing Skrillex tracks instead of Kill The Noise tracks when KTN is basically a cheap knockoff of Skrillex these days...

ah man, i really wanted to go catch the others when they came and played brown alley, at least i know what they missed now, still would've been cool too see him drop coki.
for some reason i always thought you were from sydney (for some reason anyone who says they are australian here, i think are from sydney, don't know why haha) hahaha #melbournecrew

Well you didn't miss much mate, even the Coki tune was just a tease. Played it for about 20 seconds in the middle of some bro tune. The difference in weight was incredible...
And yeah, I get what you mean, we always assume people on the internet are from somewhere other than where we're from

haha yeah fair enough fair enough, that's actually why i wanted to see him, i mean, with tunes like flap jack and titania and a few others, he definitely isn't messing around, but he does do a lot of mainstreamish sounding stuff, and i wouldn't even say Dub Police are 100% bro, it really is a tune by tune thing with them hahaha, ah well, lucky i missed it, no wonder it only cost 15$
what side of melbs you on?

Yeah I actually wrote on my phone "Got Africa VIP, Titania or Shadow?" and showed it to him, and the look he gave me in response seemed to say "I wish I could, but not with this crowd. Thanks for appreciating them though" or at least that's how it seemed.
I'm like 10 minutes walk from Chadstone Shopping Centre, so east side *throws up gang signs*. You?
This is getting more and more off-topic, but I'm yet to find a reliable way to keep track of what bass music nights are coming up in Melbourne, and that's already led to me missing Silkie and Phaeleh. How do you do it? (if you do)
