Considering the majority of Aussies perceptions of dubstep it's not surprising that the popular consensus of Oz hip hop misses the mark by so much.

My input to the aus hip-hop discussion...

I believe it is unfair to label Australians this way. Although I neglected to watch the video as soon as I could see that the interviewer was wearing an Abbey Road shirt (also unfair, yes), I could deduce just by the thumbnail that the festival depicted in the video would be very reminiscent to my perception of hell; consequently, I can see the perspectives of everyone in this thread who hold these very provable "bros" in contempt. However, one should disdain the international "bro" community (quite an abstraction, but "bro culture" is apparently prevalent everywhere) collectively, and therefore not label the people in the aforesaid video as Australian but rather as "bros." These "bros" are only different to "bros" in America by their accents.
