Bit late to the party but....tenner would've been dirtcheap. Going rate at the shop I worked in was £25.

Im talking being in year 8 at secondary school! I wernt even allowed to catch the train into town till year 9 or my ma would have given me what for!
So it was confined to my school lunch time and its inhabitants for a year or so with the odd trip to town with my family on the weekends.
Had loads of cards back then. Nobody took me up on my holo charizard for a a dmz ticket :/
Edit: shop is now a barbers now that i think about it...

wher ei lived no one actually played the pokemon card game but just collected and traded cards, the game was way to difficult as opposed to like yugioh or the late magic.
