The default FL Studio plugins are actually some of the best plugins I have ever used.

Heck I only have 2 third party vsts, boomcomb and CMT bitcrusher. :)

I can rename the entire project quite easily inside Logic without having to rename every little thing externally. This is gonna save some time! :)

Just how layered a track has to be to avoid sounding flat. Basic shit, I know.

Using reverb/delay on a Send Channel instead of the channel the plug-in is on.

I learned how important having a decent set of monitors in a controlled environment is.

I can't wait to upgrade my KRK RPshits to a beautiful pair of Adam A77X's.

The biggest pain in the ass is having to redo the drums at the end.

Oh but I always redo my drums at the end. 8)

I typically make the drum track in Ableton's drum rack, but then at the end I separate each sample into it's own track, giving me more control for processing and sends and shit. At this point I have been using generic samples that I always use, so I'll go and pick out some new samples, and then do all the processing and shit. It is kinda a pain in the ass but it's necessary.

I'm more for the "First get a good drum beat." thing...

Yeah I do get a good drum beat and I use that as the backbone of my song. But I just use my standard drum rack that has all the essentials. Then when the song is finished, I pick new samples to replace my generic ones that I always use, and I split my drum rack into several tracks to allow for more extensive processing. Then I complete the mixdown. This all happens after programming the MIDI for the drums. That was done way before.

it's just easier than copy/pasting the same reverb/delay patch to each track. also that way they're all going to the same patch so they're all in sync and have a shared "character" (sort of like why people use the same reverb on each drum hit to make it seem like they're all from the same kit)

I reverb using a patcher preset and have a eq on the reverb so i customize it for each sound, i use the same preset of reverb for each sound though.

Not to mention saving on CPU power! :D
