leeds is much better

actually bristol is the best- followed by glasgow (never actually been glasgow but heard very good things)

it is good to get out of your house and hang out with friends for a bit though, puts you in a good mood which you can channel back into production.

Fair enough - a lot of the people I'll play stuff to are honest enough with me to tell me what's shit or not. If a friend who's into techno tells me the track is sounding a bit loopy, I know it's a bad thing

What other genres does everyone listen to? In order to find more variety, I've been trying to listen to some jazz and blues lately, but tbh I really don't like about 80% of it. What other genres do people listen to in their spare time, just for fun and/or to get inspiration?

Jazz, funk, reggae, dub, g-funk, and mainstream pop/rap

Yeah I've been listening to a lot of dub and I love it, what funk do you listen to?

James brown, Edwin Starr, Sly, Winstons( of course), Blackbyrds, and Rick James

Parents have been playing funk and dub to me since I was born

All anyone's style is, is what else they're into outside of what they're trying to produce.

obv hip hop but also some jazz (mostly looking for samples while listening so i guess this kind of counts as "producing")
