i enjoyed it overall, but it didn't quite meet the hype i had built up in my own head for it. it was entertaining with a couple of very nolan twists, but to me lacked anything really outstanding (such as ledger's joker, although i tried not to expect a repeat of that). some thoughts:

watching it for a second time made me appreciate cotillard's character better - there are definitely hints at her identity and position on 'the bad side' throughout

didn't like alfred's part at all... the story about a restaurant in italy which comes full circle at the end was pretty lame, especially the fact that bruce and selina kyle were together.

i really liked bane, including the voice. and some scenes were visually amazing, especially the opening plane scene (which apparently was shot for real somewhere over scotland)

also, i think there were far too many inconsistencies between the first two and the comics to worry about the ending not being in line with the comics

to sum TDKR would be like pulling a fucking stunner of a babe and for her to then lay there like a star fish and have really shit sex

Was it just me thinking the audio mix on Banes voice was really weird though? He was pretty much straight down the middle of the stereo mix for the whole film.... everyone else audibly moved around, Bane sounded like a voiceover/narrator. Annoying.

I wonder how much hype there would be around the batman films if Heath Ledger was still alive

But if he was talking, which was rare, he was centered on-screen himself. He hardly said anything anything that I can remember from off camera, so there would have been no need to pan it.

I think its just that they obviously FXed the crap out of it--I could hear sub bass (no seriously, I saw it in IMAX and there was sub-bass when he talked), a couple of filters on it, and it was probably compressed to hell more than everybody elses’ so to us Audio-heads it stood out.

Nobody else I know who saw the film, (who also don’t do music) noticed anything about his voice, good or bad. It was just “his voice” to them.

my mate who has no clue about producing mentioned his voice being out of place as soon as we stepped out of the cinema

then he has a future in audio production

they re-did his voice several times cos people comlpained they couldn't tell what he was dsaying...

fuck that though, mint film, top character

would have liked to have seen maybe a bit more of Bane smashin the shit out of Batman though but overall i thought it was top

Just watched it earlier today. Thought it was pretty great.

The thing with Bane's voice I figured was completely intentional and in my mind sort of fit the character - as in portraying that kind of omnipresence, menace and superiority that he was kind of all about. He was pretty fucking cool. Great performance as well.

Long and boring.

he sort of sounded like a robot sean connery as well

Are you serious? That would be such an anticlimax, just imagine the bomb goes off and you see the mushroom cloud.. it fades to black. I think if they left out the Italy restaurant scene it would have been so much better.
I did enjoy the film for the most part but Banes defeat was so sudden, i was hoping he and batman were going to duke it out. Also what was with Alfred fucking off screen quarter of the way through the movie.. I couldn't help but imagine him in a hot country sunbathing from that point on.

i dont get the bitchin about banes voice. at first it was hard to understand but i thought it was perfect. such a welcome change from the generic 'bad guy' sound. he was so calm, yet forceful.

like when the thugs drag gordon to the sewers, bane kills one of them and says "search him, then ill kill you".. actually gave me chills. the way he was so passive just freaked me out.

and the speech about dent/gordon.. "do you accept this mans resignation?" best line of the film
