But is flashing really sexual assault? We've all seen cocks and tits. Most of us have them. How come showing them is a crime?
trying to give a fuck. But my fuck ain't working.
It's sexually aggressive behaviour no matter how you wrap it up and there's very little place for that outside of one's own home. Flashing your cock is a statement of "I can do whatever the fuck I want because I'm strong and you've got to deal with it because you're weak"... it's intentionally raising the spectre of sexual assault and rape to threaten/intimidate a weaker member of society.
We've all seen guns and knives too, but that's no reason to say it should be ok to get them out in front of strangers.
They should've cut it off.
Of course getting naked and waving your dick in peoples faces is insulting and is in a way assaulting. But nakedness shouldn't offend people. i wouldn't be offended by a naked man or woman. Even if they did whip it out unexpectedly.

Physical gestures & exposing your genitals aren't exactly speech though, and you have to agree it's in bad taste (that even seems like a tame way to put it) at a rally for rape victims.
I can see your point, since due to the western world being so uptight when it comes to sex/nudity in some cases as it could be kind of like giving the finger, but still.

you're a child and a
flasher gets in front of you and whips his dick out and starts jacking off. i'd say that's sexual assault
Since when is flashing and jacking off in someone's face the same thing?!

Yes it does. To the feminist, the penis
is violence.

But how do you differentiate between the two? Both are nudity forced onto people.

Feminists are an odd bunch, I'd go so far as to compare them to religious parallels like say the muslims in that you have some sensible ones, but you also have some incredibly wacko extremists who get all the attention.

Exactly. Every man is born committing an act of sexual violence.

Speech, smeech. It's about the expression of your thoughts, ideas and opinions. Yeah people with a fractured larynx can't speak either, but they still have the right to express themselves. Be it through song, pictures, or physical gestures. What you think of ANY of those things is based on your own subjective judgements, but you can't legislate based on those judgements.
Should certain music by forbidden because someone considers tem in bad taste? Any tune in a minor key because it sounds scary?

As per my last comment in this thread;
Actually I've just had a flashback to a Futurama episode and I do now understand where you're coming from.
I was looking at this from the wrong side of things, and Genevieve is quite right. Whilst you may not appreciate what someone is doing you will defend their right to do it.

Is most brostep in minor key?
Honestly I don't think sex/nudity should be taboo, especially in the modern world, but like I said in this case whipping out your cock in front of a protest for rape victims lacks foresight and common sense and the guy deserves the repercussions of his action.

Nudists have their own colonies and private land away from the public eye though.
It's like saying religion and prayer should be welcome openly in public schools because it's free speech, you have your rights to your beliefs, just not to impose/force them on others in the public sector.
