This is what happens when your team pisses off Roman Abramovich

Hmmm...we haven't started well, and our next four games are Liverpool, Newcastle, Aresnal and Bolton. I can see us having one point by the end of September.

I fail to see the amusement in a 22 year old dying from a heart attack

Liverpool 6 - 0 Derby, hmmmm think we might go down with a record low points score this year.

I must say, Villa looked good yesterday whereas we looked like a bunch of neon clowns. Frank Lampard haters take note, we struggle without him.

Villa are going strong, but they were lucky to beat us last weekend, and Zat Knight will soon show everyone that he's actually pretty crap. Decent result for Fulham this weekend, drew 3-3 with spurs. Our defending and goalkeeping was very poor - but did anyone see Kamara's goal

Yeah man that overhead kick was a belter!!! Sweet goal. I'll be interested to see how Knight does for us over the next couple of games. Still, he's scored for us 2 games in a row now.

I was cheered up after the game by listening to the calls on FiveLive.
"Martin O'Neil is a genius"...
"Villa for Premiership within 3 years...."
I love it when fans get overexcited after a good result.
Anyway, like I say, Villa played well yesterday and fair play if they can keep that up all season although I don't suspect that they can/will.
Tell you what though, Torres is settling in better than I thought at Liverpool.

Yeah, I didn't think Torres would be any use, but he's settled in nicely. Having said that, it was only Derby and their defending was fucking atrocious.
There's a lot of belief at Villa Park at the moment, for both the fans, and I'd imagine, the players too. We've got a good manager, a pacy, young team and I reckon we'll have a pretty damn good season. I don't expect us to be battling for top four, but I reckon we've got a good chance of getting into Europe. At least we should avoid the boredom of mid-table obscurity this season!
BTW, did anybody watch the UEFA Super Cup on Friday, AC vs. Seville? Quite a good game, and played in good spirit. Quite emotional what with Puertes passing away.

Actually it was worse than that, if thats possible. Someone will put 10 past us this season if we don't sort it out.

I think that's a valid concern to be honest mate!

Hah, you know it, still, at least we're not kidding ourselves I suppose, still hard to take every bloody week though!

i know it's early days and all but this season is looking to be the best one in years.
fuckloads of talent both imported and inbred, some superb goals already (surely at the current rate this'll be a record breaking season for bicyle kick goals), big teams losing already and a host of title challengers (well, ok, 4...but it's still more than ever before).
regardless of who finishes where, an entertaing year awaits (yes, even for derby fans, the recently displayed comedy defending still counts as 'entertainment' remember).
