People have. Near enough every WBC event I read about now has pictures of people counter-protesting. Best way IMO, exposes their stupidity in a way everyone can relate to. Banning talking about ideas doesn't make ideas go away, but making people realise they're being really fucking stupid might just do that.

Someone should gather 100s of gays and make a parade of gays fucking each other at their picketings. Maybe there should even be a priest marrying some gay couples.

So when there's a random ass funeral somewhere, unbeknownst to protesters... and they want to protest America.. let's say.. attacking Iran, you think it's cool for the government to stop their protest? Or don't you think the government will interpret 'witthin 300 feet' very liberally?

You don't see the potential of abuse here at all?

The same government that (under the Clinton administration) killed half a million children in Iraq through the sanctions regime in the 90s and said, openly, that it was 'worth it'... a government like THAT would not abuse a law like that?

petitions take barely more effort than "like or comment!" facebook photo posts and should be treated with about as much respect.

sorry but i'm bored of people making a petition for every opinion they want made into law and then people going "yeah grrrr i'll sign this grrrrrrr" it takes no thought at all

I went to a counter rally once...

they were threatening the Catholic Church and Parochial school just down the street from me...
...and it was like 6 or 8 14-16 year olds with signs that say god hates fruity guys with cigarettes...

so we all just stood across the street looking at each other for like - 30 minutes...


I got the impression - from the whole thing - that it is just a publicity stunt
I don't even think they have an actual mission or message...
I really think it's some weirdos trying to get on tv.

They are a waste though - and I signed the petition - they should take away their free tax status...

actually you have to create a whitehouse account to sign that petition.

It's funny that people get so fired up about these people. They don't actually do anything, they just act hateful so that they can make some money in settlements when people fly off the handle and attack them. I dont understand why people can't just laugh at them and go on with their day, it's not like their protests change anything

Why do they get any attention? I don't get it, they're obviously waste people, ignore them and hopefully they'll go away.
