73hz to be exact. the drop in skream - filth does the job perfectly, they sure don't make em like they used to

Martyn's new release is a bit of a throwback to this sound.
Named after the legendary nightclub in Watford. (The first club in England where Martyn djed)

fuck me, this just time warped me to such great times. always loved this tune.
great thread all around. for me this sound was the best of dubstep. artists like Martyn and 2562 gave me a new found appreciation for house and techno that i never had before. not to mention that garage swing. really inspirational times for sure

yep me, all the time.
but i think theyre shit,
so no one will ever hear them
the sound of 2562, martyn, sigha, pangaea etc is like my biggest dubstep inspiration since that sound came around. anbything detroity or beliny makes me (well not anyhing, its gotta axctually be decent)
if ur looking for more recent producers who use this sound, its quite common among the chord marauders crew
i've been really enjoying chord marauders too froobs, especially feeling b9, but do you get a feeling that if they carry on in this vein too long they're gonna end up in some self parody 140bpm lounge jazz territory
or is this just me

fair enough, i guess i just listen to their stuff as it comes up on soundcloud and after a lot of the time i'm like 'that was nice' rather than like 'fuuuuuck'
would like to hear some of it out though, def not a style i've found much in clubs so far

hmm i guess they'd play less of their jazzy mellow stuff in clubs and more of the dub technoey esque bangers like December but i'd love to see any of the chord marauders crew really. i bet even the more jazzy mellow stuff goes off in a club though
geodes touching bass mix was good. played some old Icicle tune that i'd totally forgotten about
