Just started it on Friday, sadly, with no intention of finishing it by the deadline. Buttt it's actually sounding pretty damn nice so i'm going to put it in overdrive and get it done by the deadline. Mon-Fri work schedule, but i'm willing to sacrifice a few hours of sleep to share it with you guys.

Yeah only started mine yesterday but it's sounding decent already, wish I had seen this earlier! It's so much fun restricting yourself, limitation breeds creativity and all that.

One quick question though.. is it cool to take single wave cycles and load them in samplers to make synths out of? I know it says "NO SYNTHS" but it's not really a synth if it uses one of these samples right?

Also it was a lot of fun trying to make a fat sounding kick out of these samples (wasn't too gone on the distorted 808 in the pack), got there with some clever layering and by resampling the absolute bejesus out of it, some buzz!

loved the smaples maybe bit too easy but i didnt even try hard so yeah i cant tell

I've wondered about this though. does this prohibit the use of convolution reverbs? Those technically use an "outside" audio source to process the signal

Technically, no. But TBH it's a reverb and I doubt anyone would notice/mind.

I'll have something in, even if it's a turd! I gotta get back into the habit of turning stuff in, for school and for dsf comps!
