i hear you, i have a pair of mk2s and a solo technic from the 70's that still rocks on. But there are plenty of great turntables that are solid and sound great at home. No point in breaking the bank simply due to a brand cult thoughgwa wrote:there is, yeah... but really? reaaaally? would you really bother?
my mk2 is like 22 years old i think and my mk5 is about 8 i think and bar a bit of wear and tear, you can't differentiate between the 2 bar the pitch ball bearing.
i imagine you'd drop a cool half dozen sheets on an audiophile one and then some dick leans on it and it's all out of balance and shit.
True dat, but realistically how long is it gunna be before you end up buying stuff you wanna mix? Its so easy to get hooked on buying vinyl, it only takes a few limited pressings you want then it all gets out of hand.fractal wrote:No point in breaking the bank simply due to a brand cult though

i thought 1210's have the voltage switch and 1200's dont?Mr_Frost wrote:dubstepper wrote:because it's a newer model and black looks loads better then silver. probly more reasons but i am not knowing.gwa wrote:why would a 1210 be more than a 1200?

the 1200 and 1210 are identical in every way except color. in the us anyway the 1200 usually sells for a little less than the 1210.
i have 1210 mk5s with no voltage switch and 1200 mk2s with a voltage switch. it depends on which country its being sold in.volcanogeorge wrote:i thought 1210's have the voltage switch and 1200's dont?Mr_Frost wrote:dubstepper wrote:because it's a newer model and black looks loads better then silver. probly more reasons but i am not knowing.gwa wrote:why would a 1210 be more than a 1200?
