I gotta say though, unoriginal, but somewhat actual house music > EDM electro house Avicii guetta bullshit

It's unrealistic to expect most people here in norway to get into Shackleton and the like, so I'd rather hear people blasting music in the school canteen play white noise than whatever swedish house mafia tune is big ATM.

I think the blog in general is a bit harsh! At the end of the day here are two kids (18 and 21 i believe) being offered tens of thousands of pounds everywhere they turn! It is unavoidable with that level of popularity their music has become slightly more pop/overground! Let be honest though their music could never be described as proper underground music. It's rare that producers can appeal to the heads and the wider general public and that is exactly what disclosure initially did: Just like during the original garage days people like Mj Cole and Sunship managed to make music that a lot of the so called heads still liked and the people outside the scene lapped up as well.

Tunes like, Tenderly, Running, Running VIP, Whats in Your Head, My intention is war (II) are quality, no getting round that! Added to that their tunes are very well engineered!!
I'm surprised at the level of hate for them!

My background is house and garage so it's no surprise i like some of their stuff!

Things like white noize and that eliza doolittle track aren't great but they are still much better than everything else in the top 40

An all their tunes are still house n garage or uk garage so its not like they have actually started making pop music like hundreds have done before them

Yeah I'm genuinely liking their album- best pop album ive heard in a long time. Theres a few clangers on it but pretty solid overall. It can only be a good thing seeing mates who'd usually listen to rihanna etc. getting excited about the next 2-step track.
