I don't understand the hate for Disclosure's music. It's no more watered down house music that Goldie tune by A$AP Rocky is watered down 90's Hip Hop. My Intention Is War and Whats in your head are proper IMO. And where Skrillz or Flux can't don't really get people into proper dubstep, their tunes can plausibly be gateway drugs to more hardcore house music. The core sensibility is there.

This is shit is wack as fuck though. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise given how they talk about DJing, rave culture etc. They basically don't care. I see these guys having a stupid live show in at most 3 years.

Live show as in contrived instruments and a band, as opposed to a DJ set?

I mean they are #1 in the album charts. It was only a matter of time before they got booked to play this sort of show and caved in and done a Guetta for the money
could very well be this.. just don't wanna believe it. always sucks to see artist you like or respect do stuff like this for money.
You don't want to believe that a duo of young annoying as hell brothers that make bland throwaway pop house who in interviews make statements alluding to their lack of care regarding the quality of their music would go down the easy money route of playing at events where they were expected to mime?
i don't wanna believe it, but if it is true, of course i will believe it. it just sucks because i do enjoy their music. dunno how they are as individuals because i have never had interest in them as humans.. if they have that kind of attitude, then this sort of thing wouldn't surprise me.

id do it but id wear a mask and use a different name so that no one knows its me

or I may as well jsut do the whole anonymous mask thing for my serious gear as then people will still not be able to make the connection, then i can make my true passion of EDM without you hip guys thinking I'm a top class prick (you may even think that already but i dont care cos im making cash money miming at big events (oh wait that hasnt happened yet, now im getting confused))

Laaame. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this type of music is made for raves/parties not "shows".
